For me, a 15 index, the Sim2 max I just bought is outperforming my M1 gen2 by a mile. I’ve picked up 12-15 yards and am hitting more fairways. Of any club I’ve ever bought, the Sim2 driver has made the biggest difference to my game. Absolutely love it.

Rick thanks for ALLWAYS being so honest with your reviews when golf companies are pushing sales and marketing. That's why so many people respect and listen to your videos!
I have been using the SIM2 for three weeks and the big advantage over last years is more consistent launch. The feel off the face is still as good. Been playing TSI3 for last 8 months which is an exceptional driver. The big difference is the toe up look at address for the SIM2 which means you have to switch off that part of your thoughts and just swing. For me a big improvement over last years SIM which for me launched low and struggled with highish toe strikes.
Rick, during "driver release season" you're always the first review I seek out to watch, hands down every time! "Sometimes the techncology stories are just that, stories." So true, thanks for the unbiased reviews. Great stuff!!
I used an R11 in 2022. Traded for a Sim Max D 2023. The D if you hit flush will go to the left (right handed) I opened up the face a little and was hitting it further by 10 yards. I didn't like the D this week because of the draw bias so I went to a Sim 2 driver with 60 stift shaft. Can't wait to hit it. Dialed 1 from a 9 degree lower. Can't wait to hit it
Likely one would have to go way, way back as the old persimmon drivers were going 300+ yards, hickory shafted era would likely be close to where we'd see a big loss in performance!
I also find it funny that Pete was getting an extra 50 yards total carry than Rick! These guys used to be quite similar but I think Rick needs to hit the gym more, haha

January 19, 2021. The day that TM has deemed as the official release day of its new SIM2 drivers. Suddenly, YT blows up as vloggers (most from the UK) rush to get their videos posted first. I wake to find no less than half a dozen YT Simm2 videos' awaiting me in my inbox. I make a cup of coffee and sit down to begin my journey into the wonders of this year's TM super driver. The first and some say only vlogger I need to watch is Rick Shiels. He is in nobody's shill. He provides honest and fair commentary. 👍👍
The best part about this entire video....I took my 2017 M1 current gamer in yesterday to get fit against the SIM and other brands...My fitter said " save your money, that M1 still performs as good as any of them out there"
Love the honest review. I actually don’t like the new style/colour. SIM looks better to me. New headcovers look mint though. Going by looks, think the new Ping looks best so far for 2021.
Just tested the SIM 2 for an hour on trackman. Easily the MOST forgiving driver I've personally hit, without giving up any performance. I was fit for Cobra F9 . The SIM 2 with the same shaft/loft setup beat my F9 by 9 yards carry /10 yards total . I gained 3 mph club speed, 2 mph ball speed. The dispersion was massively better than my F9 ! Which tells me that the ballspeed retained on mishits was significantly better than my Cobra F9. I like to play a tight fade , hate missing left ..I found that toe strikes with the SIM still held start line , and stayed straight . Where my F9 would be 30 yards left ! I'll be ordering one today .
I love my Sim. My main miss is high toe and with my old TS3 it would snap hook nearly every time. With the Sim it stays out to the right and I still get a ton of distance. It's really helped a lot.
"We've heard it all before" - it must be tough for companies to come up with new things to convince us to buy a new driver to replace the one we bought last year! 😂
Loved this driver personally. Was carrying it 300 and finishing about 330. The contact off the face felt better than last years. 🤷♂️ I was a big fan of it. Picking it up this week
Sim 1 is solid and honest and I think I’ll keep rolling with it and finally get a priced down Sim Max 3W. Also, because I’m waiting for the Stim(ulus) 2😅

Had a 2017 M1 and added a 16g fitting weight to the draw/fade track. Bunched all the weights to the centre for lowest possible spin and launch. Total beast. Was getting 280 out of it. Lasted maybe 200 swings and the tip snapped at the top of the adapter. It was a used shaft so it was unclear if it was already cracked or not seated deep enough in the adapter when built.. Wound up selling the driver and went to a Cobra F9 and now a SZ.

Awesome review! Loved it! I just bought the 2019 sim max driver a few months ago, before I knew these were coming out. I replaced a 4 year old Taylor made R15. Let me tell you, the Max did wonders for speed, flight, and straightened me out a bit. Glad I don’t need to upgrade already to the 2! Thanks for the stealer review!

Just returned my sim max2 for a ping g425. Ultimately it wasnt forgiving enough. I was hitting a r7 draw for years and a r11 for the last two. I did crush it with the sim2 when i hit it perfectly. But because the club is so light and fast it caused me to slice a lot more. Also wasnt a fan of the plastic-y look, it got pretty ding up after 6 full rounds and some range work. No sliding weight for draw setup was also kind of a bummer.
