    I was just told yesterday I will be working for a company that is moving to the Post Office... Really excited!

    Used to work in this building, in the early 70’s. At the time, the P.O. was pretty much the highest paying job an inexperienced person could find.
    I can understand the complaints about rich people profiting but really, how does a structure that took almost 1 billion to renovate get financed and maintained on an ongoing basis? At least it supports plenty of jobs and is in an area that is fairly close to economically disadvantaged neighborhoods. It also provides economic support to the downtown area as a whole. Anyway, looks like one of the most amazing renovations ever done.

    Did some of that $800 million come from tax payers ? Tax Increment Finance Districts ? why is TIF money going to multimillion dollar corporations ? The original intent of TIF money was suppose to go to poor communities and neighborhoods in Chicago.That needs development.The TIF money shouldn't go to rich developers.The missed handling of TIF's is a crime.This is happening under Mayor Lightfoot watch.
