Good for you on the praise for this job well done. I have worked construction as a laborer on concrete work, it's no east task. It's a back breaking, thankless task that no one ever thinks about after it's done. These reporters criticizing this project have no clue about the difficulties encountered on such an endeavor.
Nothing is final until we see thousands of gallons of water spilling down that chute and up over the dentates. That will be the icing on the cake ... so to speak!
Thanks Juan. Always enjoy your updates. Been a while since I watched one of your updates. Truly amazing the work that's been done at the Oroville dam. Wow! Glad they got that hot mess fixed up!

A job well done for You too! My husband worked on the spillway from 1966 to its completion. It been great to follow this project. It has been so nice to hear from someone who is accurate and fair . My hats off to you!
Spillway time lapse is amazing... and the achievement on this massive project is absolutely outstanding. Kudos Juan for all your terrific and detailed reporting over time. You deserve an award.:)
Thank you Juan for your reporting on The Dam. Fascinating what they have done. I grew up on Oroville and didn’t want my family flooded out in Yuba City therefore I was interested in the project and am happy it is completed
Thanks for sticking with this massive project and bringing us a story we would NEVER get through the standard media! Absolutely fantastic job on a fascinating project! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Hello from the Mississippi coast! I’ve been watching your channel since the Oroville damn failure. I really enjoy your videos Juan! Detailed and factual... love it! Thank you for taking the time. All the best and be safe.
Kudos to you too Juan, with out you those of us here on the East coast wouldn't have any idea all this had happened in Northern Cali. Than You for you accurate and concise reporting on this immense project
Thanks Juan for keeping us all up to date on the Oroville Project. It was amazing the work that was done to complete such a large project in such a short time.
Oooh 'the media', I was just waiting for someone to ask "WHAT ABOUT THE GREEN SPOT" Some of that well earned congratulations should go to you Juan, absolutely amazing reporting. I live over 5000 miles away from the spillway but have been fascinated by every one of your videos. I just hope that this isn't the actual last video from you on the project. I'd love to see the odd follow up over the next year or two, the first water down the spillway and the the fully graded hillside at least. All your time and effort is greatly appreciated!
Oh good I'm glad you're going to give us the occasional update. I look forward to the day when we see the main spillway used again. It sure was an historic project and I enjoyed watching the progress so much. Annette from Australia.
Juan, Thank You!! This has been an amazing journey. I truly think they should inscribe your name in that dam for your amazing reporting of this project! I will continue to follow your adventures as long as you feel that you want to share them with us. I would also like to say you have an absolutely wonderful family and I love when the kids help you out with your videos. Thank You once again!

A very big Thank You.

Great stuff Juan and am so glad I stumbled onto your productions so early to watch the progression of the repairs and I as all others thank you for your work. THB

Juan, thank you for this great video series. It's really impressive the way you stepped in to fill the void left by the incredibly vacuous mainstream media.
Hello Juan. I would like to thank you for your great reporting on the Oroville dam rebuild. Your sincerity, dedication and professionalism are second to none. From the outset your updates kept us informed on a situation which was very dire to begin with. It goes without saying that Kewitt and all of the other contractors did a stellar job in rebuilding the Oroville dam. Ultimately Juan you kept all those affected people informed when they had so much to possibly lose. I’m sure your updates helped alleviate their fears. As a Canadian we are very happy that everything has turned out well for our southern friends. Thank you Juan. Jim Leskun
Juan, thanks for your great reporting. All along you were the ONE trusted source. I just flew from Chicago to San Diego in daylight. Out the window of the plane I witnessed for myself just how dry the South West is. Dried up lake beds, rivers and low reservoirs. I hope you guys get tons of rain but only after the concrete is well set. You need it. Lake Mead would make for an interesting story if you're looking for something to do :-).
+Cat Jefferson ....We are of similar age. I live in the north east where there is an abundance of water. In fact I sent my nephews, who live in San Diego, a video of me washing my car and wastefully spraying the hose in the middle of the street, LOL. Bad, I know. SoCal was once a dessert. It worked for a while but building large cities there is an unsustainable model with the climate heading the way it is. My favorite place is the Salton Sea (been around it three separate times). It is a microcosm of what is going on in SoCal. Respect Mother Nature because Mother Nature has no respect for you. And she ALWAYS wins.
Great short landing Juan! Your videos on the Oroville Dam spillway repairs have been super! That was one tremendous engineering and construction job and everyone should be proud! I still can't get over how fast the work was completed! Congratulations to the many hard working people that made it happen!

Juan, You have done an absolutely magnificent job of reporting on this monumental project. There are oh so many of us who have followed along with your detailed and honest reporting. What has amazed me about this project is not just that physical construction was completed in a year and a half but that somehow, and I cannot even phantom how, the Kiewit and DWR engineers were able to do the necessary engineering design work to begin construction almost immediately. This was nothing short of a miracle from start to finish. Lastly, thank you for allowing us old guys to live vicariously through your flying, biking, camping and vacation trips.
Awesome wrap up video, Juan. Great job on the before versus after edits too. And great job by Kiewit engineering on accomplishing this massive rebuild project on schedule. That is a mind-boggling complex design and construction management job. Finally, great job by all the steel workers, concrete workers, carpenters, excavator operators, the whole crew that worked through very difficult conditions to build this amazing piece of infrastructure. It has and will continue to be a fascinating project, Juan you have been a stalwart throughout this major rebuild and it’s been much appreciated watching from the uk. Thanks man 🏆👍🏼😊

Agreed. the media is really out of control. They really do lie all the time.
I agree, their desire to make money by mud raking or selling a supposed catastrophe for advertising dollars which makes them totally untrustworthy.
