Homestretch
Feet to pavement
Journey began
Enthusiasm feeds
Adrenaline
Momentum gained
Carried by hope
In the wind
Weariness creeps in
Attempts to settle
Make home
Deep within
Legs stumble
Pain plagues
Injuries left to mend
Still I run
Heart strong
Courage gathered
Head up
Eyes straight
Set on promises
You’ve said
Are left to be kept
Mine to know
Here in this life
Joy abundant
Love so deep
Your glory
On display
