I bought a 2010 HS250h from the original owner in 2013 for $24,000 USD. The car had 33,000 miles and was in immaculate condition. Our vehicle now has 102,000 miles and has been very reliable. The only repairs I have done for it has been headlight bulbs and replacement gas struts for the trunk. The struts were very weak and were replaced about a month ago. Over all the vehicle has been very fuel efficient and extremely reliable. As of Sept 2022, replacement parts, especially for the interior are getting scarce for the HS250h. Engine, suspension and other parts that are shared with the Toyota Camry are still plentiful. At my local body shop, an HS250h that suffered damage to the trunk, rear bumper and fender was determined to be a total loss due to the lack of replacement body panels.
I just test drove a pristine 2010 example yesterday and man are these cars a bargain now! What this video didn't cover was the sheer amount of features crammed into this car - Top trim levels got adaptive cruise control (shuts off if the car goes below 20mph but it was 2010 so I'll let that slide), a driver attention monitoring system, lane keep assist, heated and cooled seats, Heads-Up Display, and even a front facing camera in addition to the backup camera. And if you're thinking the front camera would be useless in a lower-riding sedan as opposed to an SUV, it actually came in quite handy since, for whatever reason, Toyota decided to give this compact/midsize sedan the turning circle of a Peterbilt - not great in tight spaces but those cameras make it way easier.
I'd like to see a video on the Oldsmobile Aurora, I've always been fascinated by GM's obsession with trying to make V8 powered front wheel drive cars work.
Thank you! The CRZ and HS are some of my favorite rare hybrids from the early 2010s. I’ve debated making a video on the CRZ before- I have episode 8 currently in the works but maybe I’ll make one on the CRZ in the near future!
I bought one of these. It rides super nice. I actually love it a lot. I prefer to drive it over my 2021 outlander which I got new. Better on gas. Heaps more comfy. Quieter on the road.

Thanks for the suggestion! Maybe I’ll make a video of the Aurora down the road 👍🏻

@@peterkobasa that's cool i like to hear people miss feelings about the CRZ and rare vehicles that don't meet people's expectations etc 🤷🏻♂️
