The poverty rate in Argentina has fallen from 56% to 49%, and that was measured by the Argentine Catholic University who is opposite to the current government and if they say the poverty rate is 49 you gotta think that the real number is lower, salaries are gaining gradually purchasing power, some sectors of the Argentine society (leftists and the most empoverished people) wants magical solutions for problems caused by leftist politicians that they love, those very same politicians that destroyed the economy and at every election come up with the same old story, that they can fix all problems created by themselves and save Argentina from the "fascist right wing"

Buenos Aires is, by far, the best city in South America. I'm from Mexico but lived 4 years in BA, 2 in Santiago and 2 in Rio. BA cannot be compared to any other city from the region. Not all of the city is beautiful, of course, but it's the most similar place to Paris/Madrid you will ever see. Their neighborhoods (Recoleta, Retiro, Monserray, parts of Palermo) where you have French-style buildings and palaces in almost every corner. Evidently, Argentineans did things very well long ago and this inheritance remains.
Wow you are 100% right about all of the point. We agree totally. We also visited Mexico City and loved it too. We haven’t visited Chile yet, but really appreciate you sharing your experience with us. BA is at another level indeed. Thanks for watching our video. All the best 👍

welcome to Buenos Aires !!! to get a closer feel of the soul of Buenos Aires, I recommend walking all the way down Santa Fe Avenue, from Retiro to Palermo, because you'll find something remarkable on every corner. You can also walk all the way down Av de Mayo, Av Corrientes, Av del Libertador (an avenue that connects several neighborhoods, and even goes all the way to Tigre), Recoleta neighborhoods, all the variants of Palermo, Belgrano, Retiro, Puerto Madero (the newest neighborhood), Caballito (very especially). You can also cross to the northern area, San Isidro, Olivos, etc.
Thank you so much for these wonderful suggestions, we will definitely be exploring these neighborhoods during our stay here! Many more videos coming up. Thanks again and please do keep in touch 😊

Food is more expensive than in Brazil, but you should keep in mind that Argentine products are of a higher quality and the average quality products are even better than those you would find in Brazil and other references. Welcome to Buenos Aires. I suggest you visit Belgrano R neighbourhood. It arose from the settlement of English railway workers, a fact that was reflected in the buildings. With the subsequent urban progress, the exponents of the "Generation of 80", the Argentine ruling class, gradually settled; and houses and mansions were built in the most diverse styles (in contrast to other areas of the capital where French architecture predominates). Yes are absolutely correct! We have noticed it too! And brazilian Real went from about 5 to 1 in relation with US dollar to about 6 to 1, it lost 20% of it's value a couple months ago. So, it's normal to "feel" that Argentina can be a little more expensive than Brazil now because of that; a year ago it was cheaper for brazilians to come to Argentina than for argentinians go to Brazil; now the stuation has shifted in favor of argentine currency and argentine tourists. Have a great time in Argentina; you're the type of visitors that we enjoy to receive: respectful, open to interact with local people and enjoying not only places but also experiences.

I just found this video! Great work. I arrived in BA 2 days ago and hope to make interesting musical travel videos... I don't know anyone yet, if you guys want to meet up for a coffee sometime during your stay, send me a message! Nos Vemos!
Hi Phill, Thank you for the kind words and for reaching out! That's a great idea, we are definitely open to meeting up for a coffee while we're here. Please email us at the following email address so we can plan it: globalcitizens2000@gmail.com Thanks
Yes you are absolutely right! Now after a few more days in the city we see so many gyms! Although, we had a lot of gyms in Canada too, but we also had so many extremely obese people there. So, we truly believe the quality of food in Argentina also makes a difference. In North America and especially in Canada nothing is fresh; meat, milk and other dairy products do not have any taste. So, it’s also the Argentinian food too 😉 Thanks for watching our video; please do keep in touch 👍
@@global_citizens One key is that not as many ultra-processed foods are consumed. One of the things I noticed most in the USA and Canada is the lack of flavor of most foods. Especially the coffee has a delicious smell but zero taste.
@@luiscarracedo7793 you are 100% right. I’m North America unfortunately everything is processed and packaged and you buy lots of food and keep it for months. So, nothing really has any taste. Here in Argentina everything is fresh with excellent quality and so tasty. Thanks for your comment and for watching our video! All the best 👍😊
A suggestion i make to traveller's channels is that you could add some more to the whole experience by reacting to local culture, like music or even movies which is something you could do while you rest in your appartment or when wheather doesn't allows you to go out to film. There are a lot of channels that only react to music from all around the world and a lot of other that show travels all around the world and it would be interesting that you, while visiting different places could get a deeper insight of the environment which is not the place itself or the people but the culture that shaped it all. I hope that yoy can make some like this to receive and, at the same time, offer more knowledge about tje city or the country you visit. Greetings That will enrich your own experiencie as much as your viewer's ones
Personally I don't like react channels, everything looks forced and a little desperate, here they painted BA in an extremely positive light but it feels genuine, not forced or exaggerated
@compass_mdp Hello, thank you for your kind comments and for the suggestion. Yes we are planning to stay here for a while so we will try to share as much as possible about all aspects related to Argentina as much as possible. All the best
@ramiro041 Yes we always try to share our honest opinion about anywhere we visit. Yes there are always negative aspect in every single place, but when we visit a place like Buenos Aires that we only experience positive things and great interactions with people and the city is stunning, why shouldn’t we be honest and mention that it is a great place? In our experience so far, we are very happy to be here 😊
Thank you for watching our video and for your kind comment. Yes that would make sense; unfortunately we have seen the same trend in other countries too. All the best
BRASIL is the oNLY country I have ever seen metal cages at the grocery store where you need to jail your animal while you grocery shop ! BLEW ME AWAY ! Can we call your doggie FOO-FOO ? How is the english there ? Argentinos LOVE Canasvieiras and B Camboriu SC where they spend their summer vacations since forever
Yes Buenos Aires seems to be much more dog friendly. Although most supermarkets you will have to leave your dog outside, but not in a cage and we have seen dogs inside so many other stores. Yes you can call our dog FOO-FOO, for sure 😊 Yeah we spoke about English in the video too. Much more people speak English compared to Brazil and 90% of those who do speak English, speak very well.
@@global_citizens VERY NICE place in the summer ! Winters are too cold for me in Santa Catarina, even worse further south ! Am confused about the exchange rate. There is some kind of unofficial exchange rate different from the TRUE one ? Heard something about that
Yes absolutely; that’s why we also cane here now which is almost summer but even now some nights and some days early in the morning, it’s cold. Yes the official exchange rate is a bit different than what tou wouod get at exchange bureaus or Western Union but last year it was much worse. This year with the new president both rates are almost the same and surprisingly their Peso is getting stronger!! 😳 since we got here, every time we exchange money, the rate is worse for us and we get less Peso!!
@@cesaradriancozzolino149 exactly. Also, what’s not to love. Both countries are beautiful, with wonderful, friendly people. Did you really noticed drivers to be better in Argentina? Personally I've made a trip to brasil and seemingly every time someone did something stupid on the road they had an Argentinian number plate, I don't think argentineans are terrible drivers but there is no pedestrian priority in this country, neither is there in Brazil
Hello 👋 Thank you for watching our video and for your comment. Well we have over 150 videos in our Brazil playlist since we went almost everywhere in Brazil and at least what we have since so far in Argentina and especially on the highway, we find that drivers are much less aggressive on the highway. In Buenos Aires, people somehow wait for the pedestrians especially at intersections with traffic lights. But, this could be only our experience and someone else might have a completely different experience. In this video we shared what we thought is the case so far for us. All the best 👍
Yes exactly 👍 That’s what we mentioned in the video too. What is different in Argentina compared to other countries we have visited or lived in is that in other countries even outside you cannot smoke if you are at a restaurant! This could be a positive thing for smokers because here in Argentina there seems to be a culture of acceptance which is greatly appreciated. The same culture of acceptance applies to dogs too and most places are very dog friendly. So the same way smokers who may not have dogs accept our dog, we also respect and accept the fact that people can smoke even though we are not smokers. This is what we absolutely love about Argentina 🇦🇷 People are so sweet to each other (and to us as foreigners) and due to this sort of acceptance, everyone gets along with each other. Thank you for watching our video 🙏 All the best 👍
Thanks for watching our video and for the warning. We have been doing this for a while now and we are always extremely careful while filming. All the best 👍
Well to be honest we were just comparing Buenos Aires with some other places we have visited and we just think there is a higher percentage of smokers here.

Thanks for watching our video and for sharing your opinion! For us as tourists if we don’t need to always watch our back and removing homeless people increases the safety and security of the city, it is considered an improvement. Yes there is always much more that can be done, but we cannot have an opinion on that. All the best
@@global_citizensactually the city government has established more places for homeless people to sleep and help them get jobs and a place to live. Besides that, the argentinian stadistic institute has said that homelessness has decreased significantly when compared to last year🙌
@biancab9852 yes this should absolutely make sense. We can definitely see a huge and positive difference between 2020 (and we were here in January 2020 so before COVID) and now in 2024.
@@COMPASS_MDPyes you are absolutely right about the Brazilian Real.
Yes we absolutely love Argentina and are so amazed by how well people have received us so far; such wonderful, friendly, respectful, and kind people 🥰
Thank you for watching our video and for your comment.

Great video!
Thank you so much for watching 😊
Mesmerizing ❤❤
Thank you 🙏
We are glad you enjoyed the content 😊
Bienvenidos !!
Muchisimas gracias ☺️
We love Brasil, the dispute en futball is just folklore
🤣🤣🤣🤣 That is so true! What we really love about both countries is that majority of people get along with each other and have a relationship based on respect, admiration, and acceptance for each other’s country. In today’s world, it’s such a relief to see this amongst neighbouring countries.
All the best 👍
Welcome to the "City of Fury" as Buenos Aires is called from the song by Soda Stereo (the greatest Latin American rock band in history)
Thank you 😊
We love Argentina 🇦🇷 EVERYTHING is great and the people are so sweet 🥰
I am from Buenos Aires ❤
Lucky you ❤️
You can also go to Alto Palermo mall with your dog!
Yes this is one of the things that we absolutely love about Buenos Aires 😀 Besides amazing food and wonderful, friendly locals, the city is extremely dog friendly as well.
Thanks for watching our video!
All the best 😊
Of course we love Brazil, nossos irmãos!
😊 yes this is another thing that I am noticing!
To be honest since we always hear about Argentinians and Brazilians talking about football, we think that there may be some friction between the people. However, the reality is exactly the opposite and I absolutely love the fact that both nations get along so well and have so much respect and admiration for each other.
Thanks for watching our video and for your kind comments.
All the best 👍
Boa noite!
Obrigado compartilharem conosco esta viagem para a Argentina.

Boa noite Marcelo!
Muito obrigado pelo seu comentário gentil e pelo seu apoio como sempre.

I just found this video! Great work. I arrived in BA 2 days ago and hope to make interesting musical travel videos... I don't know anyone yet, if you guys want to meet up for a coffee sometime during your stay, send me a message! Nos Vemos!
haha restaurants are even more expensive than Canada too!
Hi Phill,
Thank you for the kind words and for reaching out! That's a great idea, we are definitely open to meeting up for a coffee while we're here. Please email us at the following email address so we can plan it:

¡vayan a Bariloche!
Hello 👋
Thank you so much for watching our video and for your kind suggestion. We will definitely try to visit Bariloche!
All the best 👍
No notaste la cantidad de gym que hay en buenos aires? Por eso la mayoria de las personas estan en forma.
So, it’s also the Argentinian food too 😉
Thanks for watching our video; please do keep in touch 👍
Greetings
That will enrich your own experiencie as much as your viewer's ones
In our experience so far, we are very happy to be here 😊
go to belgrano R. (melian street ) if you like houses and barrio parque
Yes absolutely, we have lots of plans in Buenos Aires and many videos will come up. 😊
Thanks for watching 👍
Only poor people may be overweight due to the poor diet based on high consupmtion of refined sugar and refined flour.
Yes you can call our dog FOO-FOO, for sure 😊
Yeah we spoke about English in the video too.
It’s true that we ,argentines ,love to spend our holidays in Brazil. On the other hand Brazilian people love Buenos Aires ,Bariloche ,Mendoza ,etc
@@cesaradriancozzolino149 exactly. Also, what’s not to love. Both countries are beautiful, with wonderful, friendly people. What I like the most about both countries is the fact that two friendly neighbours getting along very well with each other and living side by side in peace, harmony, and respect. That is priceless 😊
Bah bah che safari aaly
Thank you so much for your kind comment, we are glad your enjoyed the video. There is much more coming up from Argentina 🇦🇷😉
All the best
Did you really noticed drivers to be better in Argentina? Personally I've made a trip to brasil and seemingly every time someone did something stupid on the road they had an Argentinian number plate, I don't think argentineans are terrible drivers but there is no pedestrian priority in this country, neither is there in Brazil
Hello 👋
Thank you for watching our video and for your comment.
All the best 👍
por esa razón la gente está afuera.... para fumar. la restricción está adentro.
Thank you for watching our video 🙏
All the best 👍
No te regales así amigo, te van a dormir la cámara en cualquier esquina.
Thanks for watching our video and for the warning. We have been doing this for a while now and we are always extremely careful while filming.
All the best 👍
People who smoke ruin all
Well to be honest we were just comparing Buenos Aires with some other places we have visited and we just think there is a higher percentage of smokers here.
ruido ruido y mas ruido! such a noise

no ves homeless porque los cagaron a palos y los rajaron para la provincia de buenos aires. no es una mejora, es crueldad institucional.
😅 ,k detected
We truly believe it is indeed a great improvement especially if they have helped the homeless people improve their life conditions. Thanks for sharing your insights 🙏
All the best 😊👍
Nice Mina
