Hi, I just subscribed to your channel, I definitely love love the earring but I got the hoop findings and as I crocheted in them the hoop would open on me...did you secured them first? Or do you add glue or maybe press the clasp? Thanks
Hi there! I didn't secure them with anything, I haven't had an issue (so far!) but you can for sure add some hot glue or super glue to secure it before crocheting around it.

Yes you should be able to go down one hook size or go up one hook size and your earrings should still turn out great ;)
