Cracking race! I think that tyre management is huge in this car. They burned off their tyres fighting each other and once you caught him he had no grip. Shame they took such a great car and put bars of soap for tyres but there it is. Maybe see you in this car again some time?
Lux knew exactly what he was doing. Waited out Pederson until he saw the lap times fall off due to tire wear and then pounced. Then you get to come in and clean up off of Pederson's roasted tires :D
I just barely started trying out the Porche Cup over week 13 and the holidays.. the track was Zandvoort. The Car was terrifying at first lol. Once I got it figured out it was a ton of fun. I did though actually find it harder to run than prototypes which was surprising... Its super floaty. I will admit it did contribute to my 500 irating loss over December....
I went from the simucube to Simagic Alpha and it is better base in my opinion. The simagic eco system is the best there is and quality and value is unmatched
Any setup recommendations or places to look. I'm way off pace. People doing 2.22s and I'm in the 2.28s 27s. 15 min races and tires goto crap around the 12 min mark.
Nice racing Dave. But you have to stop saying you're old. I'm the old one and I won't have you trying to steal my position as the old man of sim racing. When you get to my age you'll have the reflexes of a sloth just like me. 😂 Keep them videos coming. 👍
Some Ferrari strats from Benjamin there. Let him past and then get past again maybe because.... rEaSoNs. But solid race! Shame about the scruffy start that left you out of the draft but sensible racing. Know you pace don't force it and let it come to you. GG
Dave, What's the +/- iRating using each set of pedals. I know it's a silly stat that doesn't mean much, but just curious to hear if you think there is any correlation.
I was enjoying this race earlier today, lap 7, my loadcell decided to die a death, bloody fanatec! Dropped a shed load of Sr...looking for new pedals now as fed up with the issues I've had with fanatec...
RF2 is such a better Pcup. Danile Morad states the same. He tested the 992 after winning the title in the 991 so he is familiar. He says Irqcings pcup is worse car on the service
You getting a 4X for Benji pushing and taking himself out ... such BS. One of the reasons iRacing is so annoying. For a live service subscription model they really need to steward better. Having to come back 45 minutes after a race to file a protest for things is very poor service.
I don't think these situations matter too much in the long run. I know how annoying they can be when trying to raise your license, but more often than not the incs are avoidable.

Very nice racing, I also drive at spa with this car but my best lap is 2.20.800. This car is truly teriffying with the oversteer it gets sometimes!

Porsche Cup car is awesome to drive, until you spin it once and instantly overheat tires, then it's more slippery than driving on ice :D

These have been really good. I'm quite comfortable so I'm on a bit of a run with irating gains

That's the charm of it. When I need a reset, I do some PCup races. Anything is easier afterwards.
Yes we know Morad's opinion. "Great to race" and "As similar as possible to the real car" aren't necessarily correlated, though.

@@robcampbell6099 extra incident points are added after the fact now, if one of the cars involved wrecks more is added.
They way you have to protest is annoying and way to much time and effort for no results
