We wouldn't want her to be inconvenienced for being responsible for her crime. Went told you have extra time, you don't argue with the judge. How many classes will she miss if she is in jail?
Out of curiosity. So this girl under 21, should on a first offense ever- should catch a felony. Which in turn, will not only kick her out of school, but ruin her entire record for the rest of her life?
Whoda thunk there were consequences for breaking the law? Are you saying a college student does not know it is illegal to drink and drive, AND drink under the age of 21? If so then she should not be in college. You just pointed it out. She knew both things were illegal. If she killed someone why doing this do you think that should be a felony? Why is student services involved unless this happened at school?
@@Hunterw2224 Well I guess that's better than her taking other innocent people's lives from drunk driving in the future because the consequences of her first offence were not much.
@@Daniel-S1 I agree as well I think her consequences should be greater yes, but I do not believe it should be ruin her record for any chance of job, housing and being a member of society again.
Brother. An English major I guess..."yes". OH DUI, too young even to drink & caused an accident. How nice. Top of the class I guess 😉 IF you can drive drunk underage, you can do what Judge says.
Not fond of that judge's attitude. The accused was quiet and courteous and is obviously not familiar with court procedures. Asking a question should not be "problematic".

And she's in college !!!
Once again.....WHY is a Drunk Driving charge a MISDEMEANOR?? It should be a felony!! Lives could have been lost!

Yes it's problematic that this offense isn't taken more serious and not just a misdemeanor charge 🤔

The only attitude I saw was the eye rolling and not taking responsibility for her actions.
@mikeadams8027 I have no doubt that's all you saw.
