Gawai Antu is celebrated by The Iban to honor the dead. The Gawai Antu ceremony has strong significance to every Sea Dayak heart.
Here at Lachau, the ceremony was modernized since the arrival of Christianity. Same as the old ways, the Gawai Antu ceremony are still keeping the same traditions, remembering those who has died and to honor them with respects.
This short film shows the moments of the Gawai Antu being celebrated by the Iban.
