@JDStone did you ever work out the problem, I only looked on YT to see if anyone knew about it because I have one and it's started doing the EXACT same thing after only 20 mins of use. It is old but sounded great just before it :(
Hey! Thanks for subscribing. Got plenty more 'older' synth videos coming soon when I finally get chance. But you're right, the older keyboards are definitely more fun even if its just getting more bang for your buck!
Well this video has almost 3 years, but probably you know this: Is the foot volume signal transmitted via MIDI? I have a Casio PX-5S and it doesn't have a foot volume input, so maybe I could connect both keyboards via MIDI and use the foot pedal to control the PX-5S.
I don’t know for sure on this keyboard, but on my older HT-3000 the foot volume is not connected to midi, just used as an extra volume knob basically! I think they are a bit too basic for that kind of midi implementation.
I did have it on batteries, I believe battery acid leaking onto the board was what caused the issue. I sold it very shortly after uploading this video!
You can literally google Casio CT680 adaptor and it comes up... But, since you asked nicely, any 9-12V DC 1A Centre + adaptor would work. I *Think* the Casio AD-5 range of adaptors are the genuine ones. I have however got rid of all of my Casio's so I can't check!
That glitchy sound from the speakers is a common problem with CT 680. That happened to me too.
A great sounding instrument. There are synthesisers now in software including Korg M1 iOS I’ve got as well as others which are fantastic.
I has the exact problem with the exact same model and it turned out to be a internal filter that needed replacing
A good Casio for its time. Did you get it fixed or sell it on?
I sold it on! I also never saw this comment 🤔
Did the Auto Harmonize ever transmit vi midi out?

I’m afraid not :( Apparently it is a common problem, but not one I was able to repair!
New sub , I’m not much of a keyboard player , mainly guitar , but these older keyboards are fun ! Thus why I have a number of those older ones !

Have you had it sorted and or tried on batteries?

How strong are speakers? 2* 3 W?
I've just bought a 670 from eBay - it's the same apart from it hasn't got reverb ?
Marcus Orangeboom IV None Yep! I nearly bought one just before I found this. Got one even similar to the 670 now just with mini keys.
Mate, there is a bird on the speaker
I should hope not, he's in his cage asleep at the moment...
I'm a little late to the game, but it could have been tested with battery power.
Teri Carpenter It was. Same problem!
