What I love about this video is that there wasn't security around eddie keeping him away from the crowd...he walked through the crowd and acknowledge the fans....that's how much he cared about the fans. Will always be a fan of him.
@A A from a midcarder stand point to doing drugs & going to Ring of Honor then coming back to redeem himself is definitely defined as one of the best ever. Especially the way the crowd gets off to his vibe & energy. Not many wrestlers can do that and it is hard to do nowadays. He is one of the best to ever do it even if he barely had any title runs.
A A no that’s a very very hard stretch. WWE wouldn’t be anything without stone cold. Not the rock. He’s always been better which is why Vince McMahon himself said Stone Cold was the greatest of all time. The rock was nowhere near more over with the fans than stone cold, his promos were never better than stone cold. Honestly , undertaker , hogan, Jericho, Triple H, are all better than the rock . Unlike the rock , they were all around good wrestlers. Not just with promos. Also, Ric flair was a stooge.
@@deepakbohora4972 equal? No. I love and respect Eddie but him being equal to the greatest performer of all time is just... Nope bro. There's a reason why the Undertaker is the most respected superstars in wwe. And I agree with person above me, there's no reason at all to compare them.
Aswin Surahman that’s debatable tbh. Undertaker is not the Greatest of all time. There’s a reason why Ric Flair, Stone Cold, Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho, John Cena, and Shawn Michaels held him in Very high regard and put him in top 10-20 of all time. Even Kurt Angle , Jericho , and flair said he was right up there with any top dog in the wwe.
When my dad told me about Eddie Guerrero... The second he mentioned that Eddie was a fellow El Pasoan. Just like me and my pop. Eddie Guerrero instantly became my favorite wrestler next to Goldberg. Eddie made me 1000 times prouder to be born and raised in El Paso, Texas. Thank you Eddie for giving me and my pop something to bond over. Thank you for giving me the option in WWE games to select El Paso, Texas as my hometown. And hearing it announced out loud. Rest In Peace Eddie, and thank you for helping make my childhood awesome. VIVA LA RAZA!!!! 💚🤍❤️
Exactly my thoughts. Like I said in another comment, Eddie had something Cena never had which was likability and charisma. Something about Eddie you just couldn't hate, and you were emotionally invested in him to win and keep winning, something Cena does not have since he gets booed all the time. Eddie had charm, charisma, likability a true face, something about him people just loved. Like Big Show said when he died, they'll never be another one like him. He's the only superstar who would cheat and you could actually cheer for, no other superstar has been able to pull it off. This moment was the best moment and meant more for people than all of Cena's combined. Truly memorable.
john smith I didn't bring it up, the original person who commented did. I just agreed with him that Eddie's title reign felt more awesome and more meaningful than all of Cena's. That's all.
freddy trinidad Cena could be handed the title 4 more times, hell, they can build him up to be a Super underdog for all I care. It will NEVER be as emotional or memorable than this ONE championship victory from Eddie! It doesn't matter how many times you win it, it's about how you can win it, and how memorable you can make it. Long Live Latino Heat!
Many of you may not agree with me on this one..... But in my lifetime as a wrestling fan, I have never seen a championship victory as celebrated as this one.....Not even Stone Cold, The Rock, Hulk Hogan, Daniel Bryan and John Cena..... I mean it was like a party......
So far the closest would be del rio when he was face. I mean 1% close to this, comparing to the other wwe champions. And the best wrestlemania moment is not the undertaker or john cena vs the rock but eddie and chris together as champions.
this dude at the time had fought his way back from a whole bunch of personal demons that really hurt his career and nearly destroyed his family. The fans knew full well about this and plus, he was entertaining as hell and really over with the crowd. He'd been doing it for 20+ years but never got a world title reign despite the great matches and entertaining segments. so when he did beat Brock, who at that time was the golden boy/franchise player of wwe, it was really special

Everytime i think im healed and come back to watch eddie clips i end up crying, im 34 now and it still hurts as a huge fan. Rip Buddy thanks for great childhood memories.
I'm glad before he died, Eddie had this moment. As a fan, this was special to me as a Latino, as a Chicano, and as a long time wrestling fan. To finally see a champ that looks like you, talks like everyone does on the block, who drives cars that my dad would droll over, and to touch the fans the way he did. We had one beautiful moment before he died. Be happy we had this moment.
Only a true wrestler comes out through the crowd after winning the top belt of a company. Especially since the wrestler's entrance is usually via car. You never see cena do it. R.I.P. Eddie! The day wrestling died..
Totally agree man. The reason stone, or undertaker, the rock or Chris Benoit never did it was because Eddie Guerrero had something that you just couldn't hate which is something the guys above didn't have including Cena. Something about Eddie you just liked and was emotionally attached by. I think he's the only superstar in history who has been cheered for cheating, its like you wanted him to cheat which no one has ever been able to pull off except Eddie. Extremely likable, awesome charm and charisma. Big Show said it best, they'll never be another one like him.
Who else is down on a Eddie Guerrero memory trip right now after hearing Vickie use his entrance song? God how I wish Eddie would come back, but somewhere up in the sky right now he is still lyin', cheatin' and stealin' like never before!
This guy was the ULTIMATE UNDERDOG! In 2004 I got into wrestling and Eddie was my Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, Rock, & Shawn Michaels. He made everything fun and his sense of humor was top notch. I couldn't ask for anything more from this man. I still have the "VIVA LA RAZA" sign I made back in 2004 when I went to Smackdown. I've never felt that way about another wrestler ever again. Eddie was the wrestler I wanted to be. VIVA LA RAZA!
+kidkanYeBLAH Eddie was someone who was difficult to hate, even with all his lying & cheating antics. His charm was unlike any other wrestler's. I was 12 when I started watching WWE. I only got to watch him for maybe 2 years and I watch WWE sparingly now but I'm aware of the current happenings. I don't think I'll ever love another wrestler the way I loved Eddie.
Championship reigns aren't as special as this anymore. WrestleMania 20 (& Wrestlemania 17) is by far my favorite WrestleMania's to date... The ending of WrestleMania 20 is my favorite wrestling moment of all time. It's beautiful & yet, very tragic considering what happened to Guerrero, then later the Benoit family. I despise what Benoit did but I try not to focus on the negative. I will always remember him as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, and him & Guerrero standing tall, leaving Madison Square Garden as world champions was absolutely beautiful. Exactly man, in my opinion, WrestleMania XX was the last great WrestleMania. Sure we had the awful Brock Lesner vs Goldberg match but I can't blame them. The fans should've just been quiet & go along with the match, it could've been great. The ending was absolutely beautiful, I miss those days.
So do I. Nowadays WWE is not as good because we don't have true superstars such as EG, Benoit, Goldberg, etc. Besides, as we grow up we get easily tired of Cena winning almost everything, in my opinion. At least I'm grateful because I had the chance of watching the best mexicans in WWE winning the two most important belts.

So far the last wwe superstar to be close to the legends like eddie, benoit, macho man and austin was punk. He had great mic skills and bad booking. With good booking he should be close to the same tier if not the same as these legends.
Its been many years since this moment. The title itself changed many times, changed many hands. But there was no champion as grand as you Eddy. Your celebration was not just yours, it was celebration to the game. Viva la raza! Miss you senor

Most inspirational thing you will watch on YT. If you ever go thru something, feel depressed,, hopeless, unappreciated.......watch this and know your time will come. I'm glad he got to get the love while he was alive. Crazy to think he would be gone a year later.
At one point, he was fired by the WWE for drug problems, was facing divorce and financial problems, but he fixed himself and soon, was given a second chance, rehired and fought his way to win the WWE Championship. This celebration is more bigger knowing the struggle he went through to get to that point.
Eddie was a gift to the world, not just wrestling but everywhere. His journey through life and all its highs and lows will always be a banner for us all to point to and be inspired
Eddie Guerrero, The Rock, Steve Austin, Brock Lesnar, Shawn Michaels, Kane, Goldberg, Triple H, John Cena, Undertaker, Bret Hart, Road Warrior, Best Wrestler alltime!
was awesome how instead of walking down the ramp like everyone else does, he decided to walk to the ring amongst the fans who have supported him and stood by him since Day 1. very much a tribute not only to Eddie, but his fans. he definitely stole all of our hearts! RIP Eddie Guerrero.
What's really amazing was, his champion reign is at that time really surprise, but nobody of watchers replied or expressed any fluster at WWE Champion Eddie Guerreo. Crowd at that time 'instantly' showed explosive chants and prop as if they had already waited his world championship. WWE just gave WWE Championship to the 'most fan-favorite' star.
At 3:43 I know he was waiting his whole life to get to do this. It's really a shame he passed away so early in age. He was one of my favorite wrestlers when I was growing but because he wrestled for the people and not just for himself.
One of my favourite wrestlers ever. R.I.P Eddie. One of the greatest world champs ever imo. Really Eddie is a 2 time world champ because before he died, he was booked to win the world title.
Every once in a while I go and have a beer at his grave site since I work 10 mins from the burial. Really Sucks that’s the closest way I’ll ever have of meeting him.
This is so nostalgic and heartbreaking to watch.. my 11 year old self back in 2004 loved every second of watching this on tv yet knowing Eddie would pass away the year after is still painful to accept. God we miss this man so much
2003 Was the Peek of Eddie Guerrero's career. I remember this as a child. Imagine if he was still here, how much he could have accomplished more in the WWE. He was up there with The Rock, Stone Cold, Triple h, and The Undertaker.
I always go back to this video because it was the first wrestling events I went to and one of my favorite wrestling moments. I remember as a kid going nuts after Eddie beat Lesnar for the title, went even crazy when I got to see him live in person go through the people and celebrate like that. Great memories, thank you Eddie for all the memories, rest in peace Latino Heat 🔥🔥🔥
He was the best, I remember when he and wwe came to Belfast in 2004. He got the loudest reaction out of everyone and it was positive. Universally loved
He should've been in movies man. He had so much charisma.
Eddie struck me as someone who just wanted to wrestle and was happy with the career he had
Not as much as christian had tho. Remember he's captain charisma
Facts he just seemed so damn funny in all these skits, sad he's gone

Its been many years since this moment. The title itself changed many times, changed many hands. But there was no champion as grand as you Eddy. Your celebration was not just yours, it was celebration to the game. Viva la raza! Miss you senor
A championship reign which spoke louder than John Cena's 14 world championships combined.
Which is funny since Cena was over as fuck at this time.
What does John Cena have to do with Eddie Guerrero?
t3 more wins and he breaks the record held by ric bloody flair in just 7 to 10 years, omg , of all people him.
So? the titles are just props, they mean nothing.
Darryl McMexican A championship in Professional Wrestling means Success. It means you're at the top of the business. Entertainment or not, all the hard work, night in and night out is paid off and signified by a championship title.
Its been a while always miss you eddie rip.... Hope ur in a better place

every time I have a bad day I watch this video and it perks me right back up. there was nobody who Loved holding the title more than this man
Back when life was simple
Most inspirational thing you will watch on YT. If you ever go thru something, feel depressed,, hopeless, unappreciated.......watch this and know your time will come. I'm glad he got to get the love while he was alive. Crazy to think he would be gone a year later.
Daaaang, I remember being there with my friends when we were like 12 years old. Crazy how time flies!
He and Rey are the greatest underdog stories of all time. Eddie beat addiction. And gained a new one. We love you Eddie. R.I.P
Watching on what would've been his 53rd birthday and I'm still emotional. Long live Eddie!
Don't forget Kurt Angle!!
ChaoZz07 And Chris Benoit
MrPEIN32 And Jeff Hardy!
Jeff hardy is nothing compared to these guys
Didn't Undertaker Have A Championship Entrance In 2008
Man, we miss you Eddie & this dope ass theme! WE LIE, WE CHEAT, WE STEAL MAMACITA!!!!!!!! R.I.P Eddie.
R.I.P
was awesome how instead of walking down the ramp like everyone else does, he decided to walk to the ring amongst the fans who have supported him and stood by him since Day 1. very much a tribute not only to Eddie, but his fans. he definitely stole all of our hearts! RIP Eddie Guerrero.
at least Chyna can see him R.I.P Chyna and Eddie Guerrero
Wtf chyna is dead??
@@pratikpadaya3363 died in 2016 drug abuse
I'd like to think that Eddie received her with open arms. "Mamacita!"
Eddie Guerrero a true WWE Champion a true legend with heart, with passion, as fans said out loud: YOU DESERVE IT!!
Remember when the WWE gave new champions the respect they deserved?
At 3:43 I know he was waiting his whole life to get to do this. It's really a shame he passed away so early in age. He was one of my favorite wrestlers when I was growing but because he wrestled for the people and not just for himself.
He came out through the crowd and celebrated with his fans like a true champion long live eddie
3:26 that smile..I miss you Eddie
He definitely was trying his hardest not cry
Damn I get chills whenever I watch this... Miss you Eddie💕
One of my favourite wrestlers ever. R.I.P Eddie. One of the greatest world champs ever imo. Really Eddie is a 2 time world champ because before he died, he was booked to win the world title.
18 years later I still tear up after seeing this. Miss you Eddie
Man i missed Eddie, he would've put a smile on everybody every week
Now this is how champions enter the ring after Wrestlemania !!!!! I can't believe it has been 15 years. I miss Eddie and Chris...
Man I miss Eddie , he was loved. The celebration that commenced after he won was biblical.
Trying not to cry
me too.
Every once in a while I go and have a beer at his grave site since I work 10 mins from the burial. Really Sucks that’s the closest way I’ll ever have of meeting him.
I’m so grateful to call you my favorite wwe wrestler. I’m so grateful I got to see you on TV. I miss you Eddie
This is so nostalgic and heartbreaking to watch.. my 11 year old self back in 2004 loved every second of watching this on tv yet knowing Eddie would pass away the year after is still painful to accept. God we miss this man so much
The few years smackdown was better than raw
Yes that is true
Lol no. 2004 SD wasn't good. Raw was better than SD in 2004
One of the greatest moments EVER. Still gives me chills. RIP to one of the greatest to ever do it
Rest in peace, my papi.
I GET CHILLS WATCHING THIS VIDEO, AND TAKES ME BACK TO 2004… :)
Que detalle le regalo a los fans al entrar asi...Unique style ... Eddie forever 😢😢😢
Today marks 17 years since we lost a legend. RIP Eddie, we all miss you.
He was the best, I remember when he and wwe came to Belfast in 2004. He got the loudest reaction out of everyone and it was positive. Universally loved
R.I.P. Eddie Guerrero 💜💜💜
