@Alyssa There are many Europeans in Jamaica. The Majority of people in Britain are white. When a black person speaks with an English accent no one feels the need to point it out because they are in the minority. The real problem it seems to me is some black people trying to own the Jamaican language. These people tend not to live in Jamaica. It comes as a real shock to them that Jamaican is spoken by everyone that lives there,no matter what race they are.The real deal is this.
People in Jamaica don't care what race you are.Once you speak Jamaican in Jamaica you are regarded as Jamaican.
Wha yu tink a mi written hinglish?
      Mi stoosh e man !!

And I will drink a pint of Guinness to that.Or better still a bottle or export Guinness brewed on the Spanish town road Kingston, as it's much stronger.
Of course the man is a Jamaican. I think the people who say he isn't don't know Jamaica. And I also think that these same people want to own Jamaican as a black language but as I said they are not Jamaican. Nobody that I have ever encountered in Jamaica cares what colour a person is.
Once you are in Jamaica, speaking Jamaican you are regarded as Jamaican.

I have a similar issue My dad's parents are Haitians, my grandfather was born to a half Syrian/Taíno Haitian father and a full blooded Taíno Haitian mother, my grandmother was born to a Haitian father who was of half Haitian/Dominican Taíno descent and a Haitian mother who was of mixed French and Taíno ancestry. On my Mom's side of the family my grandmother was a White American of Polish ancestry and my grandfather was born to a mixed Puerto Rican of Spanish origin, Portuguese and Dutch descent mother, so she was basically a White Woman and my grandfather's father was of mixed Afro Barbadian (Afro British West Indian), African American, Native American Cherokee, and Chinese ancestry.

Of course your accent would change over time. You live in a foreign country, and therefore, your Jamaican accent, would obviously change. What annoys me is this, I have come across comments, where ignorant ones say you aren't Jamaican, simply because of your skin colour. (Your daughter should also own her Jamaican nationality.) I recalled you saying in an earlier video, years ago when Kelly was a teenager, (well she looked that way...) That Kelly too, was born on the island. My father is also a white Jamaican of Jewish and Syrian ancestors...Jamaicans are from a mixture of many, hence the motto... "Out Of Many, One People."
