    Awesome session!! Can i ask what outfits you used? Rod/reel/mainline and rig body (leader)?

    • @ariestonanglerwa
      @ariestonanglerwa  3 месяца назад +2

      Hi chris, if its the fishing outfit its waders, the rod were using 14ft penn prevail II, this is great on beaxh speciially on weedy, reel shimano 10k series PG, line 50 to 65 lbs, rig simply paternoster rig and you can use 3 gang hook or snelled rig depends on bait you use, use 60 to 80 lbs leader and specially this kind of fishing spot you need a grapnel sinker, i hope this can help.. cheers chris

    I just had a look at the WA fisheries website and said that the size limit for mulloway is 75cm, it used to be the same in NSW but the size limit has been changed to 75cm as well,pro fisherman are allowed to keep them if there 50cm

    • @ariestonanglerwa
      @ariestonanglerwa  3 месяца назад

      @@tonyallen8626 ive check it on recfish and it says 50cm , black jewfish is 70cm, you probably reading boat limit and i am only doing shore casting, thanks for that tony i will be reading more anyway.. cheers

      @malcolmyoungacdc 3 месяца назад +1

      Not sure that's right. I read 50cm on WA Fisheries. There are proposals to increase this to 70cm supported by Recfish WA.

    • @ariestonanglerwa
      @ariestonanglerwa  3 месяца назад

      @@malcolmyoungacdc yeah your right malcolm they will probably push that, shorecasting was not easy to catch this species, probably on the boat, we only can catch them during their season once a year, rarely to catch if not their season, they let fishermans keep 50cm cause they start producing only on 80 to 90cm cheers..

      @@ariestonanglerwa the site I was looking at that said the legal size is 75 cm is called www.fish.gov. something like that, I've also had a look at a few other sights and they all say 500mm including the first sight that comes up( special when I use the correct spelling) that been said straight under the first site that comes up there's a question " what is the legal size for mulloway in WA? And said 75 cm. That being said the majority of the information I've come across said the legal size is 50cm including what I think is the government website .
      PS just because it says you can keep them at that size doesn't mean you should.
