Denver Students Join Int’l Call for Pro-Palestine Solidarity Encampments

Since April 25, Denver students on the Auraria Campus have maintained a pro-Palestine protest encampment with multiple demands for the administrations at University of Colorado Denver and Metropolitan State University of Denver including full divestment from any corporations which operate in Israel. According to one of the student organizers, Khalid Hamu, the encampment was set up in response to the April 20 international call "to establish the Popular University of Gaza and to set up solidarity encampments for Gaza."
On April 26, 44 students, faculty members and community members were arrested and charged with trespassing.
The Denver encampment joins dozens across the nation calling for an end to the Palestinian genocide.
