Hello! Had a Basecamp 2 now for 2 years! Love it! It's our first ever caravan! The only downside is the Whale Heating system. It's like something from the 1980's - truly dreadful. Don't like pull up sockets either! Everything else great! ps I'm 6' 0" and I can just about fit on the single bed, with my toes dangling off the end! 😊

Hi Mate, thanks for your comment. If it is any consolation we have not made a penny from RUclips or anything. Literally not a penny, we had one sponsored video which was for the Wolfwise beach tent, they approached us and asked if we would do one and we agreed as we were due to go away and we could make use of the beach tent. The reasoning behind the caravan review videos was to try and help people out who were looking at Caravans to buy. When we bought our Caravan we found that there were not many decent length reviews and we wanted to change that. Also, these type of videos will perform higher in theory on the RUclips search as people would type in xxxx caravan review and we would show up meaning that the view duration and view length would be higher. In order for us to be able to bolster our video library with some valuable content we needed access to caravans and we were very lucky to have Spinney allow to use there site to get the reviews. That is why we mention them and provide a link to them as this was the agreement we made. To receive a penny from RUclips ads you need to have 1k subscribers and 4000 hours of watch time, we currently have over 1060 subscribers but we have a little under 3700 hours, so all these videos have contributed to getting us to the point where we are now. Which is still not receiving a single penny yet from anywhere. I cannot thank you enough for every second that you have spent watching our videos, in the early days, like we are now every second that we have invested is costs us and we receive nothing for it, so every one of the 50 videos has all come from our free time, our website which Lisa has built www.onlyvanslife.uk is all at a cost and we have not received anything from it, the merch store is at a cost, the video editing software is at a cost, stickers at a cost, the gimble that holds the phone for recording, the ring light and so on and so forth. Sometimes we have to diversify a little bit to help us to get what we need to appease the YT gods and the caravan review videos provided us with 100 minutes worth of watchable content to boost the above. I’m in my Ford Transit st the moment with a rock and roll bed and I’m 6ft 4. So half my shins and feet hang off the edge
Love the look of the Basecamp 2 but it was the lack of any under bunk storage (for bedding) that made us buy a different caravan.
The Basecamp is designed for a specific type of caravaner. If you not into the more adventurous lifestyle normal caravans are much better
Love the Basecamp 2 but off grid would only really be on a campsite without the hookup.

The beds are really too short for a 6'1" guy like me.
