wth this is your first video? the community needs more of this style of analysis/breakdowns! great vid - good pacing, very informative, all meat no fat
As a sort of signature, I think the camera zooms on player faces after each of these moments is really really smart and also highlights the fact that people watching might not notice or realize what happened, but the players sure did and reacted to it accordingly.
The insane part to me is not the 1 frame timing but just the awareness to react in the moment to chose to go for up-tilt as he knew f-tilt wouldn’t knock down.
Short, well edited, and to the point, I like it. I’m usually a sucker for longer, more in depth videos but the fact you were able to concisely analyze and relay the information in a way that would make sense to anyone and in such a short amount of time is impressive. I also like that you chose a scenario that most people, myself included, completely overlooked. Amazing first upload my dude.
Awesome video! Didn't even know that was a 1 frame window. Also I love Louis Cole but I think he should be credited in the video and/or description for the heavy use of his music here, it's only fair + it will introduce new people to his music :)
I swear the YT Melee community is popping off rn. There's some serious effort being put into the the content lately, and not long after a big conversation in Smash and the FGC in general about streaming versus other content creation. Such an amazing time to be a Melee fan. Good work!
short, sweet to the point and informative all the while being well edited just watching videos like this one existing on this platform is revitalizing I, myself, would attest it to rather very high-level video creation (in general, but especially suited for youtube) ik to many i may seem to be over-excited, but from me to you, good fuckin job, excellent vid
i got a good laugh at the fact that i took only a second or so to scroll down and find two other people using basically the same wording as i chose. but i dont feel the need to change it because i think it just emphasizes the fact that this is so wonderfully made that it gives people a very clear and consistent feeling of appreciation.
Amazing how concise this is. I rewatched the Big House grands set, game 5, and recognized Amsa trying the tech upsmash again but getting shielded. If I keep collecting these videos then I will be able to understand so much more about the game.
As someone who hasn't played melee in prob 20 years, but been watching it for like 10 years, i love these kinda melee videos where it really goes into the intricacies i don't realize while watching. this is the only esport i watch
great vid, awesome to see more of us framedata freaks making short form content like this. great editing. music levels could be a little lower to make yourself more heard! i dont have a great mic so i haven't started implementing bgm in my series yet, maybe this is the sign i needed to start doing so. id love to talk shop w you about how to spearhead this kinda content!
Jeez this is your first video, please make more stuff like this . Welcome to YT my man. And trust me you are very welcome, we need more people like you.
bro thank you this was fucking such a good video. I honestly thought it would be some boring hyped up shit, but you just fuckin got to the point and provided different scenarios and reasonings. I feel so weirded out seeing such fucking clean explanations and the louis cole music was dope. I don't want you to feel obligated at all to make more stuff like this, but also I will say this is refreshing.
This is very cool! they always use all these terms in smash commentary videos that I don’t really understand. I never really see many succinct videos about what each term means, but this one was very easy to understand as a total newbie. Thanks!
Melee moments moments: its not known but melee moments really loves amsa and was waiting for amsa to win a major to start the "melee moments" channel and series. This has been in production for years folks
I’ve kept this video in the back of my mind for a while and finally got a chance to use it today when teaching my AP Lang class the difference between Argument and Rhetorical Analysis. My class was baffled by what they were seeing, but it got my point across.
That nod at the end. They both knew it was dope
soonsay: yup, amsa is sick.
amsa: yup, i'm sick.

SERIOUSLY. I've been playing Melee since release and I never knew this. We would love more!
"All meat no fat" is it just me who just likes the meat part of meat and not the fat part of meat?
@@Scratchums since melee released is crazy, I wonder how that is (considering I've only even known about smash as a game series for like 7 years)
As a sort of signature, I think the camera zooms on player faces after each of these moments is really really smart and also highlights the fact that people watching might not notice or realize what happened, but the players sure did and reacted to it accordingly.
aMSa has been working so hard for so long, I'm glad to see he finally won a supermajor. He definitely earned it.
love the editing on this! very clean and easy to understand

#1? I would've assumed you'd done many of these with how well it's made. Very concise and informative! sub earned
putting louis cole behind this is so sick
I will always subscribe to a melee channel that's well edited and doesn't waste the viewer's time. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE CONTENT!!!!!!!!
insanely high quality for a first vid, cant wait to see what the future holds
Awesome video! Didn't even know that was a 1 frame window.

Can you give me the name of the song please?🙏🏻

You are absolutely my new favorite channel! Awesome analysis that's easy to understand with snazzy graphics and music. This is art man.
Louis Cole music in a short form, yet deep analytical video of high level melee? Peak content.
Amazing how concise this is. I rewatched the Big House grands set, game 5, and recognized Amsa trying the tech upsmash again but getting shielded. If I keep collecting these videos then I will be able to understand so much more about the game.
I was so sad when I opened your channel and saw this was the only video. PLEASE keep doing these, it is amazing

love this, way better than walts slow drawn out analyses that end up
saying less than you did in 60s
This video was over before I knew it but somehow explained everything it had to
Amazing video, so interesting to see some mid tier intricacies!
