Planning a trip to Kansas from Virginia the first week of January. Any tips or info you’d be willing to pass along or is there any way I could get in touch with you? We’re trying to decide on which WIHA unit to focus on, mostly for quail but wouldn’t mind taking a few pheasants as well. Awesome videos and dog work!
That’s a long drive from Virginia. Plan on driving around about 100 miles a day, walking 10-12 miles a day and bring some good dogs. Thanks and thanks for watching.
Not expecting you to give your spot up but was this public and in what region of Kansas? I have been wanting to make a trip to kansas for quail just not sure where. Thanks for sharing, love the GSP work.
Thanks and thanks for watching. It’s all on WIHA across western and central Kansas. I was told bird numbers were better south and west? Supposedly that was info from a KS biologist. I drive 100+ miles a day and walk 10-12. There’s birds around just takes some work to find them.
Nothing better than a covey of quail when you’re expecting one rooster to get your heart rate up. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
I agree! Thanks and thanks for watching!
Very good teamwork!! I have a 10 months old GSP. Thx for sharing!
Thanks and thanks for watching! I like them at that age. It’s fun to watch the lights come on!
Outstanding video!
Thanks!
Thanks for taking us on that hunt! Great job…
Thanks! And thanks for watching!
