Paintball Nerd's Media Mastermind with Matty Marshall, Ryan Greenspan & Marcello Margott. Matty Marshall has been involved in nearly every paintball media project since the 90’s. He has earned the title, “The Voice of Paintball”. Ryan Greenspan is the most decorated player in the history of the game, having more 1st place victories than anyone else. He’s also the co-host of the Spick & Span Show and co-owner of Field 1. Marcello Margott is a paintball prodigy with 7 World Cup victories, co-host of the Play The Game Podcast, and published “Paintball IQ”, a book on paintball strategy. They share their thoughts on where paintball media is headed and what the industry can do to engage a broader audience.

I think that Marcello is missing the biggest piece to the puzzle when he is not able to envision how profound a key discovering the right format for the game would massively grow the sport.
I have some beggings of a ton of ideas that could possibly solve all of the stuff they are talking about. It all has to do with changing playing format and the big companies would need to buy into the idea of investing into their industry through developing regulations that would need to be supported at a public field level and it would simultaneously amp up the on field drama and the statistics complexion of the game significantly and still be extremely fun to play at a fundental level.
Crazy stats for you and the stats would also become part of local field play and a part of local buisnes conversation etc. It's fluid like the general intelligence factor!!!
You guy's need an idea guy! All the experts in the world can't replace one idea Guy. And watching Brian Green talk to a child was creepy.
Paintball is exclusive. Just because people will listen to you doesn't mean the truth is coming out of your mouth.
People don’t get it…. It’s not the format… it’s not the stories although those could help….. look at the oldest sport in the world Wrestling… they just so happen to also use a tournament format and what do we have in common? Nobody watches….. nobody wants to watch 24 hours of paintball in 3 days nor do they have the time!!!! Pros need to get out of tournaments and go to a league style of play based off of regions. The only tournament pros should be in are World Cup which should only consist of the top 10 teams plus the champions from NXL Europe

@@paintballnerd Not really he’s just the commentator. I just dislike the man he tries to hog every podcast he’s in . He talks and talks about how he read a phrase on so and so book etc..
Matty is the voice of Paintball and does a great job with the broadcast, because he talks so much. He’s a great person to have on a podcast because he talks so much. His only weakness is doing interviews, Go Sports needs people like Zyzek or Vince to do interviews, other than that, I cannot imagine anyone doing a better job than Matty
Matty is a dilettante of consistent annoyance. I almost disagree with every spin that comes out of his mouth, but that being said we definitely love and need Matty. It is invaluable to have perspective and Matty is a constant source of additional perspective to my mind; the thing that frustrates me the most is I don't hear nearly enough narrative that compliments Matty Marshall.
I would like to hear more from other minds than Matty, not less of Matty. If they can't keep up with the dude than that's what's up but there is a lot of perspective missing in brother Marshall. Lol!
