My heart plunged seeing 16" crack in the block and when another 12"at bottom pop out..I was like" ahn ahn it ain't gona come alive ....its finish...its done ..its gone...😂😂😂. But you made it spark and roar...😂. Old trucks are true work horse..simple and worthy to own.. It was funny to see how u don't even care to remove those 2 wooden pieces from bumpers and axels from trunk..😂 Hats off to u r efforts...❤
My Dad drove a 1954 Dodge half-ton pick-up for about three years (mid-1956 t0 Oct. 1959) that had the same sort of cracked block. The same side of the block had cracked around the edges down to just above the freeze plugs and fallen completely out. The piece had been glued back with JB Weld and never offered to leak again. He drove about 30,000 miles per year on a delivery route selling dressed chickens and eggs to grocery stores all-over south-central Oklahoma. He finally traded it in for a new 1960 Chevrolet Apache 10. The truck ended up with some farmer who lived south of town (Sulphur) and I continued to see it occasionally for several more years. This old GMC is a real treasure and deserves to be brought back to operational condition and continued use. She is a real beauty.
What an amazing video. No annoying background music or narration; simply 2 dedicated guys bringing that abandoned old truck back to life. The silver haired guy in particular seemed to be caring for that engine with the gentle skill of a cardiac surgeon. 👍 😊
Très bon 6 cylindres . J'aimerais beaucoup le voir vraiment terminé (bosses , peinture , chromes ). Merci à vous pour votre savoir-faire . Bravo pour votre courage , aussi .
Complete remake, please. This truck's built better than any of the trash their turning out these days. 100,000 km.s and they're toast. This truck will never give up.
At my 73 years of age, I just Could imagine that sweet toy fully restored with a very well done paint job with a clear coating, it would've wrench my heart, my gratitude for sharing this video with us, PLEASE, PLEASE keep us posted, I can't wait to see the progress of your impeccable project.
Ahh yes, the ratticus giganticus package, it was a special order option 😂😂,, what a great ole truck and a fantastic job getting her moving again, love it
SIMPLY AMAZING I had my doubts at first but you fixed the block and got her runnin! I started my wrenching career years ago working with an old timer named Buster LaNoue. I learned a lot from him and watching y'all reminded me of working along side of him and explaining how things worked. Just proves this old iron was built tough back then and worth restoring. I hope you continue restoring this old girl she deserves a fresh look. I'm not a GM fan just a fan of anything old. I'm a huge fan of Dodge Brothers and Dodge/Mopar products but love watching the restoration of any brand! THANKS!!
A buddy from years back passed on a couple tips that I've found very helpful. Copper kote in a spray bomb for head gaskets. Every head gasket I install and even more so on a reused head gasket gets sprayed qith copper kote. Like your videos, even more so with audio. Thank you for bringing us along. May the Lord be with us all.
I'd love to see this truck made truly roadworthy again. No restoration, just clean it up a bit more and fix the stuff that needs fixed to safely drive it around. Let's see how long that engine holds together and what that truck can still do while we wait. Once it eventually gives up, maybe use a leftover 6 from a 50s GMC and swap that in with a few upgrades. Also, I enjoyed the video format here. Silent but with the option of subtitles was great. Looking forward to the next one!
Me guasta mucho ver trabajos de restauración, esta video me encanto, debido a que solo escucho el sonido de las herramientas y las piezas, esta genial.
This was probably the best ASMR you've done. And one of the better ASMR's done about this genre. Camera work editing, and that rust-colored butterfly at the end. This Old Timer needs a cleanup. You know it and your subscribers know this too. Thanks!
SILENCE the virtue only I tuned in to hear that amazing southern accent , to see father and son working together and watch you working on some of thee most awesome American trucks and cars and when you use the gospel as a guide lifts me no end . Peace and Love from New Zealand
We been missing you guys. Great video of the "GMC Carrot Truck". And Lance getting a haircut between scenes. We do need a 2nd part as the old truck could use more loving. God Bless!

The old girl definitely deserves a part 2 and part 3 if needed. I'm here for it.
From abandoned and broken to strong and proud - this GMC truck rescue is pure restoration gold.
I never knew that you could repair a cracked block.
I admire the way you just worked methodically through the problems without hype and drama. Thank you for sharing!
يسعد ربه العامل الصغير ما احلاه ، والله شوفته بتشرح القلب

Full over the top restoration is called for! She deserves it!
Definitely would love to see a Part 2, where this truck is truly brought back from the dead.
через год. Увидишь!
Oil Chang would bee good😊
It's not every day you see a restoration bringing a 1937 engine back to life! 🕰
Restaurem a pintura e removam todo ferrugem. Mantenham cor, que lida. Parabéns!
Pulling a vacuum on the block was brilliant. Well played.
I wonder if it would be better to swap the block or the whole motor altogether. Maybe another one can be found stashed somewhere.
@vayabroder729ya work with whatcha got!! 😀
For a second there I thought you were going to drive it to a car wash.
I vote for the complete clean-up!
Ojalá lo reparen también de la carrocería.
Es una maravilla. Tiene 88 años.
Increíble.
Sungguh mengagumkan melihat ketekunan Anda berdua bekerja hingga mesin yang diabaikan selama 50 tahun bisa hidup lagi. Bravo.😍😍😍
For me, I like to see old vintage vehicles restored as much as possible to the original and that includes paint.
Emek vermek ve karşılığını almak böyle bir şey, kutlarım.
definitely would like to see this completely sorted to be road legal cleaned and lights working
Seria lo mas conveniente una reparacion completa del camion, su trabajo es estupendo, felicitaciones desde Peru.
