it's a homemade gopro mount. it's a modified toilet bleach bottle with holes in the front and the bottom cut off so it acts like a wind sock and weather cocks and also I put a carbon kite spar out the back with a shuttle cock on the end for more stability. don't forget a quick release knot on top incase you snag the cam so that only it crashes and not you! As in my other video - search paraglider chase cam tree snag crash.
great video, superb angle, one of my best finds of the year, love the fact that you use buildings for lift, i do this with a model glider weighing 120grams....therefore i doth my cap to your somewhat aloof yet utterly brilliant flying risking not just a model.....
Guy Dillon thanks. It's my local spot where I'm lucky enough to be able to walk to from home. I've always got my eye on the 'out' just incase the lift disappears though so I'll say not as aloof as it perhaps looks! ;)
Homie I have an insane amount of time in the sky. In paragliders, hang gliders, helis, planes and parachutes and I don't like to see good peoples lives snuffed out because of something as dumb as a helmet. Just be safe and realize new young pilots watch this shit. And EGO KILLS in aviation its a fact don't be a stat. On a side note beautiful flight great video and awesome control on your launch. Blue Sky's Bradda!
It's your choice for sure. But I don't agree with your logic. You're right that a helmet might not save you from a 50+ ft fall - but total freefall is unlikely in a PG accident. More likely you'll suffer a collapse and swing into the ground, or get dragged into a rock, or blown back and forced to land somewhere bad. An open face helmet doesn't weigh much nor restrict vision. Big pros small cons. That's why most of us choose to wear one. Happy flying.
Very nice dog
Absolutely fantastic. Great job !
I watch your video now
Thanks for posting...this is where I hope to be one day!
You'll get there!
What set up did you use for the trailing camera? Fantastic viewpoint!

Do you still fly this site at Fistral?
I think your dog wants to fly with you. Maybe you should try to take the dog out flying some day, if your wing can take the extra weight :-)
Hahaa! I think he'd freak right out!
Wear a damn helmet be a good influence!
Who's head? Not yours. Wear a helmet on your own head if you think it'll save you from a 50+ foot fall. I know it won't. Above all it's my choice.
