People need to understand this, Hope isn't really fighting back and she's literally holding back, all she has for Josie is care and love so she had to do everything in order to make the merge taking place to execute her plans. All we see is the caring Hope and if Hope even turned off her humanity she'd burn down the whole town just like Freya said, People like Freya n Hope flipping of their mind only bring destructions.
Yeah you are 100% right. She was just delaying Jossie by keeping her occupied in order for lizzie to get there. I also think she had a protection spell because she was not harmed at all when jossie blasted her and was not a bit afraid when she almost got staked in the back

We all know hope could defeat Josie easily, but she cares for her too much, and doesn't want to hurt her. Think about it Josie obviously cares a lot for hope as well, because hope was the only one who could get Josie's good side back, even if it was only for a few seconds.

Actually Hope was not even trying to win. She only wanted jossie to think she is in control of the situarion and delay her until lizzie got there. She is a true mastermind
Dark josie isn't more powerful she just don't care about hurting whereas hope want to stop her not to kill her but this is more because the fight the merge everything related to that has to be btw the twin
Hope was not trying to kill her let alone beat her. She needed to delay Jossie so that mg could bring lizzie back. She had a master plan all along she lost on purpose to make jossie think she is in control

In my opinion that the large potion of her black magic stays in the prison world that's why when Josie came back to real world she looks normal. However, this black magic seeds a little potion in Josie into the real world and not like any kind of black magic before, this type of black magic replenishes itself quickly overtime as long as Josie willing for it to take over. Remember this black magic is over thousands years containing in samurai's sword in Japan to kill a powerful monster Oni, not anything like in "New Orleans". It's supernatural source itself it gives the user know the spells that no one knows before or even killing spells or turning humanity in vampires. So we don't know full potential of that black magic source can do yet. As long as there's still a little potion of this black magic source in Josie, it will replenish quickly and even more than before. It allows Josie to control people as her will recently similar to Delilah, so it's very powerful source and not that Hope can easily deal with with her power right now (especially she is not full tribrid yet).
It’s funny how everyone is saying hope is being downplayed yet Josie herself said that hope wasn’t fighting for real. If they fought only being aquatinted or if they just met this episode then hope would have torn her apart. Dark or not. Plus it’s pretty clear hope took no damage from josies red lightning
Hope said Josie wasn't fighting either lol so they both arent fighting formal and yet Hope is still losing she's not as powerful. Shes special only in name her tri brid title holds no sway in actual battle so it seems.

Any outcome could turns out very badly and they don't know what Dark Josie has under her sleeves like a backup plans, what they did here is just stalling and let Dark Josie thinks she's winning to execute their plans, with Necromancer in the picture they have to make sure nothing goes wrong. @@NotSure405 well you can clearly see in this episode that she is a mastermind and played all her cards perfectly as Jossie thinks she wom and left the school, Lizzie is alive and shr can now free the real Jossie... she is not weak she was able to stop the merge and ressurect lizzie. Also it doesn't matter if she would not have a heart marcel didn't have one and came back... also we have seen protection spells in legacies too. Finally you can clearly see that
1) Hope was prepared for everything
2)she was not hirt when jossie go a clear shot on her and was perfectly fine 2 seconds later which indicates that she had a protection spell and
3) she wasn't even a bit afraid when jossie was levitating her and when she left her to fall
That's scene showing how much Hope cares about Josie because she is the only one who actually bring her good side even for 1 second and she is the only one who treats Josie like she isn't the monster of the week and actually she really want to help Josie to back to normal. ☺️

I love Hope, but how is she a daughter of Niklaus Mikaelson and Hayley. I wish she would have a little more of her parents in her. I know she has a plan and not fighting back, but I wish she would have a little more tamper, character, dignity and pride. She could save a friend, and put her in her place at the same time, showing who the queen was. Jo should not be able to beat her even if she was just stalling.

Hope was not stalling. Didn't you understand Hope's plan at all? She wanted to save Jossie and make sure noone hets hurt in the proccess. So she made Jossie think that everything was going as she wanted by losing to her, trcked her into believing she won the merge and got in her head. Then Jossie left and the school was safe

I know some of you don't like the magic effects they're doing but I think they look pretty cool. It really sets this show apart from it's predecessors

She was talking to good jossie inside and we saw that she came out for a few seconds. Dark Jossie was not only trying to win but to kill Hope too. Okay, this scene is another proof that Hosie is engame. First, Hope brought back Josie,even if it was for a few seconds, she did. Second, Dark Josie wants to hurt people, she made that very clear, so why would she say to Hope "I don’t even think she likes you"? I think she say that because she knew it would hurt Hope. And she knows that Hope means a lot to Josie and that she could bring her back for good. That’s why she wants to hurt her and kill her(even tho she can’t kill her and if she does,Hope is gonna come back as a badass tribrid so I wouldn’t kill her if I was her). She wants to kill her so the person that have the most chance to bring Josie back is out of the game.

But that only works if Hope is truly dead and there's no galanteer that a stake would even permanently kill Hope considering she has her original fathers DNA. So either the Necanemcer is dumb or he wants Hope to become a full tribrid.
I really hope after all this they start treating Josie better cause like Hope mentioned she’s always there for her friends and carries these burdens but hardly anyone is ever there for Josie did it really take Josie going dark for everyone to see how much people take advantage of her and aren’t there for her.🤦🏾♀️

ok, everyone who knows the history of hope, their fear of losing someone and what she has done in TO realizes that she does not use everything she knows to end anyone definitively. josie didn t win, hope chose not to win by hurting her, it seems more to me, deciding for heroism puts hope in more trouble that she could avoid losing this fear of ending an attack she was now (because it s not just her there, she is pious even to those who threaten her life from the begnning)
I do not think it is heroism but a smart paln. Jossie was not going to leave if she didn't merge. And there is no way Hope wouldn't try to stop it. Jossie knew that. Hope made Jossie think that she won and that she merged so she just left. But the reality is that she only got a Hope mikaelson in her head😅

I like the show. However. I wish it was just based on the merge itself rather than them having all these other mythical creatures which weren't apart of the vampire diaries or the orginals. Don't get me wrong. It's still a fantastic show!! But it doesn't seem like a show that's orginated from TVD. It seems like a whole separate show on its own. Like if I didn't watch TVD or The Orginals. I would have thought this was a brand new show
That was kinda the point. And also other monsters besides vampires witches and werewolves is from the books which had friggin Angels as well

Hope really restrained her self
There are so many people saying that hope is holding back but honestly like she’s the daughter of Klaus where is the hint of the devil in her eyes? (The og Fans know what i mean) I mean I get that she’s supposed to be better than Klaus but why making her weak? Yes she cares about Josie but at some point I just expected hope to snap and fight back, to show some of her mikaelson blood. Also Josie will never be stronger than Hope, I’m sorry but this „dark magic“ that makes her so strong is the same dark magic that Hope was born with. Downplaying a character is just really not it, specifically if we all watched whole New Orleans go crazy because of her and her power. She is stronger than twins AND has to fight the demons her father (or even whole Family) was carrying for centuries. Making her a Mary Sue won‘t satisfy the people that watched her grow. This won’t be done by just simply making her scream into the woods and end the topic at that point.
Vee it’s called self development. she doesn’t need to resort to violence and strength everytime and she never uses her full power or wolf form because she can talk people down or use simple spells. true fans of hope want to see her grow and become more like bonnie. you just want to see her introduce complete destruction.
Vee plus josie could probably best hope since she’s a siphon witch, any time she shoots or spell or gets close to josie she could just suck it all up. but a normal witch couldn’t beat hope
spalison.mp4 Bonnie was completely mistreated like I think, and it’s not just about Josie being strong enough to take down hope (which I don’t think, due to the fact that hope has already been introduced to us by the show(!) to be the strongest person alive). Like seriously she’s more than just a siphoner witch she doesn’t need to take the power from something rather is she herself the power. Also I wouldn’t want complete destruction caused by hope, we all saw how that ended, but at least give her more character in general. She hasn’t really been through character development, she was taken down in order to give Josie the spotlight. Hope was struggling so massively with controlling her powers in to but now she’s all of the sudden perfect in peace with herself. I don’t think the show should be all about hope being the main character overshadowing everyone else but for fs she’s not a punching bag, she’s a mikaelson, she could at least behave that way. I’m also including Hayley into this because she was a mikaelson too and would have never let anyone treat her that way. Hope became absolutely bland as a character, she’s a teenager with enormously power AND a really bad mental health family history. Instead there all up focusing on Josie and let Hope be called a basic witch. At this point I would love an outburst of power just to for once in this damn show become rightful make a statement on Hopes Powers. What point was five seasons of calling her the biggest threat the world has ever seen that will have a lot of problems controlling this outburst of power (Also btw confirmed by dahlia), just to make her weak and soft. She is no Bonnie due to the reason that she has a way more complicated history (after all there were always people chasing her for her big amount of “powers”). I’m really reading into this but I’m just utterly disappointed in how the show turned out idk.
Vee mistreated in who’s eyes? she wasn’t mistreated by the creators. she was mistreated by her friends. but she was a good person and did good things when SHE felt it necessary and when she needed to protect people close to her. she didn’t do them because she wanted some type of reward or praise from others which is what made her such a compelling character. yeah it would’ve been nice to get some appreciation sometimes but that’s not why she did what she did. just like me in real life, when i do something for someone and they don’t show appreciation i don’t not do it again. i do things because i believe it’s right.

Just been scrolling through the comments and felt the need to say my opinion. People are complaining about Hope not fighting at her full strength or whatever even though she could beat Josie. She has a plan and if she defeated Dark Josie the possibility of them getting the real Josie back in unknown. If you're plan is to save someone you don't do anything that could risk them dying. Hope cares for Josie so she doesn't want to hurt her, so she's holding back. Hope's holding off for Lizzie to show up, because she has to verse her sister. I also read a comment about how Hope is Klaus' heir and should have a need to rip off someone's head or rip out their heart. Klaus' problems come from unintentionally causing the death of a sibling, neglectful parents, having said parents try to kill him and his siblings, having a part of himself locked up for a thousand years, feeling alone for a thousand years. Hope hasn't had nearly as awful life as Klaus, so she's more stable. She was also mainly raised by Hayley and Freya so she be more like them.

For those actually dumb enough to think Dark Josie was stronger than Hope in this scene let me just say that first of all Dark Josie had absorbed dark magic which likely put her at Dahlia level since the necromancer stated she had the potential of controlling Malivore and yet she still couldn't at full force so easily blast through a basic defensive energy attack from a weaker type of magic cast by Hope who was holding back in every way, secondly after the clash Josie specifically states Hope isn't even fighting back the same Hope who is calm and couldn't care less about the fight clearly not registering it as a threat, thirdly if Hope wanted to hurt her why didn't she break her head when punching and kicking her since Josie is still just a girl where as Hope has warewolf strength making her stronger than any human fourthly Hope had a plan and fifth if a simple scream from a younger Hope could one shot instantly kill an army of Nazi vampires as well as any human even remotely close what do you think would happen if Hope actually attacked Josie with any spell? It would have killed her instantly therefore why would Hope fight back? She probably would have just healed or levitated herself even if Lizzie didn't arrive since she was litteraly calm and without any shown fear while not fighting back and levitated over that stick. There is also evidence to suggest she sensed Lizzie.
Both were holding back. Yes its pretty obvious, tribrid hope would wipe the floor here but, Dahlias level? Not even close. Dahlia was powerful because of augmented power spanning centuries. For her, even fighting the entire original family took little effort on her part, it's like when comparing the strongest witches.
Hollow = Magic Potency
Dahlia = Masterful knowledge
Bonnie = Psychic and Adaptability
Silas/ Qetsiyah = ultra willed
Hope = the potential for all of the above
However even now as an activated tribrid, she's not quite there yet.
Dark josie was good. Hope is phenomenally strong right now

But don't insult Dahlias character by comparing any of these to her.

@@MattCollectorControl First of all Dark Josie wasn't holding back, secondly Malivore is a lot more powerful than Dahlia so Dark Josie having enough power to bend him to her will like the necromancer did later on in 3x4 might definitely put her at Dahlia level in terms of power but not skill or intelect of course and let's also note that Dahlia didn't necessarily fight the entire original family at once she fought a few of them with the white oak stake and a barrier around herself not to mention those were nerfed Mikealsons at that point, thirdly Hope is more powerful even without her vampire and warewolf side than both Dahlia and Inadu and the greatest witch to ever live so your statement is automatically false and judging by the fact that Josie was able to blast through an attack from Hope even remotely is saying a lot since Hope was born to be powerful enough to destroy Malivore who is litteraly a collection of dimensions and Dahlia hasn't done anything even remotely as impressive in terms of destructive power and fourthly I love Dahlia but Josie, Lizzie and Hope are better charecters than her so don't insult them like that. Malivore and Hope are much more powerful than any other tvd charecter.
I remember when some people were saying that Dark Josie was stronger than Hope because of this scene and that Hope wasn't holding back, and that that fight was the proof that Hope was weaker... Well now that the fight scene btwn no humanity Hope and Dark Josie exists, everyone see that it takes Hope two seconds to destroy dark Josie. She literally just gave her one kick and that was enough to make the real Josie come back. So now I don't get how anyone could deny the fact that Hope was holding back here
Well, neither of those fights prove a thing. In this fight Hope wasnt trying ("your not even fighting back"-DJ) and in the No Humanity Hope vs Dark Jo fight, Jo clearly stated "oh I'm not here to fight you" if Dark Jo would have had her gaurd up that fight would have been so epic
@@nylam404 The Dark Josie we see in season 4 is radically weaker than this one, cause she isn't filled with black magic. The only reason Dark Josie had it going for her in season 2 was the black magic making her insanely powerful. So even if they did fight in season 4, she wouldn't be half as strong as she was originally.

hope was obviously holding back. she could kill josie so easily if she wanted to. but she didn't wanna kill the real josie so she didn't fight. josie even said "you're not even fighting" and when hope said "neither r u, ik ur in there josie" she was referring to real josie inside not fighting. dark josie obviously was fighting and trying to kill hope. but that would be a dumbass move bc killing hope would only complete hopes tribrid self which would make her sm stronger.
Honestly is someone actually doubting that Hope is stronger than Josie. It doesn’t mean that the writers turn and twist everything for this ridiculous plot that Josie is suddenly more powerful than Hope. It doesn’t even have to do with the fact that she is a tribrid but a first born Mikaelson witch. And yeah the gemini’s may be powerful but not like them. If you watched the originals it’s been said a thousand times that Hope is beyond powerful. Ugggh this show makes me angry sometimes, I have no problem with Josie’s power being showcased but damn be a bit realistic about it. This show has so much potential, I hope they do better next season cause I honestly do not want it to get canceled.
Hope faked the battle... her real plan involved the twins trying to merge and her getting inside josie's mind which she did... she just knew josie would never believe Hope mikaelson wouldnt try to stop her

Joise is basically Zelena who wanted to fight Regina who is basically Lizzie in this scene. The evil sisters want to kill the audience because their good sister didn’t show up.
Hope is Emma because they step in when the other sister couldn’t. The Necromancer is basically Rumple and is on the dark sister’s side.
Regina says “didn’t anyone tell you? black is my color”

I get how hope lost because she didn’t wanna go full on trybrid on Josie because she knows she’s still in there
But the battle was a distraction. Hope's plan was never to beat josie in a battle because they couldnt trap her anywhere.
Hope's plan was to have the twins try to merge( her potion made sure that if lizzie won josie would be put in a coma and if josie won, like she did, the merge would have no effect)when they were trying to merge Hope got inside her head and eventually defeated the dark magic(helped josie understand she can control it)
They made it seem like Lizzie needs to keep siphoning to hold a spell. You siphon once.
So like, if hope dies she just comes back...Her vampire side isnt active yet so the stake wouldnt do anything...

Y'all didn't realize that when Dark Josie lets Hope fall to be impaled by that broken wood, she could've have died... If Lizzie hadn't step in to save her, Hope could have been transitioning into a vampire already and become full-fledged Tribrid from then on. They would already have save themselves from all the trouble...

It feels weird that elena-damon, bonnie, Rebekah- marcel, kol-davina, freya-keelin & Vincent are all alive but we just dont get to see them or even have a good closure.
