My mum used to buy oversized dresses for us and lie that it fits us perfectly as if we were born with the clothes. We didn't like it but didn't have a choice. I can't but also add that the church doctrine sef affect my dress sense too. Wearing oversized clothes seemed to be what modesty was all about. As I grew older, I didn't realize my dress sense was poor, till I entered my 20s. God used my fiance (ex now) and one sister to influence me positively. He was neat and chic! The sister too. Now, I'm getting better. I stand for modesty. Dressing well doesn't mean exposing cleavages and thighs, neither does it mean wearing oversized clothes. Scripture did tell us to be modest.
