If you ever watched Terminator 2 then you heard this song when Arnold rides off on the chopper near the beginning of the film. As we say here in Texas; Y'all be safe.
Classic SNL Review: October 2, 1982: Louis Gossett Jr. / George Thorogood & The Destroyers (S08E02) George Thorogood and the Destroyers performed "Bad To The Bone" and "Back To Wentzville". Eddie Murphy teaches the kids about music courtesy a drum kit he stole from Smokey Robinson's van on an episode of Mister Robinson's Neighborhood. Fridays, January 9, 1981, George Thorogood and the Destroyers performed "I'm Wanted" and "Can't Stop Lovin'." George Carlin was the guest host. The Plasmatics performed "Living Dead" and "Butcher Baby." on the next episode, January 16, 1981. Shelley Winters was the guest host. Crazy! I must have seen them back then too because I remember buzzing over Eddie Murphy in class the following Monday.
At the very minimum George has all the confidence that he would EVER need to make it through life. Thanks for turning up the volume, for this song is best listened to at a higher volume level; this song is best listened to at a higher intensity level.
Angela.... I first saw George Thorogood and The Delaware Destroyers in a 300 seat club in 1977... His 1st album was out, and the show was very good....
it always make me laugh to know that George and the band was from Delaware. i saw the interview where Bo Diddley and George couldn't stop pouring admiration on each other...i guess it takes one who is bad to the bone to know one when they see it...going to take a shot of whiskey, scotch and beer now
You probably heard this song in the movie, Terminator 2: Judgement Day. They used the theme when Arnold Schwarzenegger, as the Terminator, got on a motorcycle, at night, with sunglasses on.
Great pick/reaction! I was a DJ in Chicago , circa 1989 and 1990. If the dancers on my floor began to dwindle in number, my go to hotmix was Bad To The Bone, mixed with Keep Your Hands To Yourself [Georgia Satellites]. Guaranteed to pack the floor! Both classics.
My second favorite stuttering song behind BTO's You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet. 😊 p.s. Angela you probably heard this song in Terminator 2 when Arnold is leaving the biker bar.
Well this song is good to the bone! A true hit and part of movie soundtracks and many covers. Angela, you felt that electrifying George Thorogood riff too, didn't you? 😎🎸💥
I was never too impressed with George Thorogood myself. Nothing wrong with this song but he seems limited or gimmicky to me. Saw him live in a large outdoor venue and great seats- second row center so had great opportunity to see what he had, what he could do. He was about what I expected. Unfortunately for him Johnny Winter was opening for him and lots of the crowd left after Johnny. Johnny was authentic the real deal.
4:09 I love the way George made his guitar sound like a horse whinny..and what a ROWDY sax solo before that. Its just a one chord jam in the key of G, but what I liked most about it? Just when everyone thought the bar blues sound was dead in the music biz, Thurgood and his boys proved 'em wrong! Fun watching ya chair dance!!
We covered this in so many biker bars . The guys always replace the part. bad to the Bone. With " Bad With My Bone" And it didn't matter what town we was in they would Sing " Bad with my Bone" I look back on it how did these people all sing the same verse hundreds of miles apart . This was in the 80s no cell phones no internet no social networking. 😮
George made great driving songs. Hard to keep your foot off the gas pedal with songs like this. Ir's funny that you mention a motorcycle. His song "I drink alone" features George on a motorcycle. He comes across as the coolest MoFo alive! Also check out the video for this song.
Loved your seated dance moves, but this is one of those times where you should have played the MTV Video. George goes into a Pool Hall and meets up with Bo Diddley and World Champion Pool Player Willie Moscone, and the results are pretty fun to watch. Saw George back in the late 80's, and now I'm going to see him again in about a month. Yup still alive and touring, Can't wait.
Nothing like watching a lady get down to some hard rock ‘n’ roll from my time when I was about 22 years old. Ha ha yeah moving your girl if you were around then we would’ve had a lot of fun just saying.❤
@keith goode when I was in the navy, we had an airplane that we named Christine, in reference to the movie. If she liked you she would fly when she probably shouldn't have. But if she didn't, nothing you did would get her in the air.
Any song that gets Angela dancing is alright with me.
Agreed!!! 😊
Always makes me fall a little in love!
and that smile!!!!
the eyes
The video was magic. Bo Diddly in the pool hall. The nod to his influences was great.
Bo Diddly is great. Thorogood is not.
Al Bundy's theme song in several episodes of "Married with Children."
I've tried to mimic George's B-B-B-B-B-B- BAD until my lips went numb, but I could never do it at that speed. 😎
"Hey baby, does my stuttering turn you on?" LOL!
Who Do You Love is my favorite by Lonesome George
One bourbon, one scotch, one beer is awesome by George Thorogood and The Destroyers
This was fun to watch your reactions lol!! Great song pick too!!! Love that you had a lot of fun with this one!! 🎶♥️🔥
If you ever watched Terminator 2 then you heard this song when Arnold rides off on the chopper near the beginning of the film.
As we say here in Texas; Y'all be safe.
I've seen George in concert at least a dozen times. The band always brings high energy.
The shoulder shimmy was just PERFECTION! Thanks, Angela! Your two songs today were 🔥🚒
Aloha that’s one of my favorite song
BBBBBad to the bone!!!
Dang, your hair's immaculate!!! Anyway, excellent reaction. Great song. He's very confident. They knew he was baaaad from birth!!!
Maybe the most quoted riff of all time
Such a great, kickin’ bluesy rock song. You definitely looked like you were having fun jamming and grooving and moving to it.
You are, hands down, the cutest and funkiest reactor on the video circuit!!!
You go Angela. Dance dance dance...
Memories I first heard this at Fairfield in Sydney at the brown jug hotel at 13 years of age and under aged and I thought how cool was this
Kings and queens step aside.
Great lyric.
The man plays the most masculine sounding guitar ever.
You should see the actual video to this song because it has the great " Bo Diddly" in it who is also an O.G. Rocker !! 🤘
Now you have to listen to Thorogood's other two famous songs:
"One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer"
and
"I Drink Alone"
There are two more: "Who do you Love?" & "Move it on Over".
Whenever I hear this song, I always think of The Terminator 2.
Angela convinced me to like this song again !!
This is George's take on "Hoochie Coochie Man ( as is Hendrix's Voodoo Chile). I first saw them on either SNL or Fridays (it was over 40 yrs ago).

also his other infamous song "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer"
I could see you riding shotgun with me on one of these warm Georgia nights in my 1978 "Bandit" Trans Am with the Ttops out jammin this tune ✌💖☮
Played in every strip club in the world.
Highly unlikely, though, at Magic City. 😂
George made up for an ordinary voice with great energy and stage presence. You have to watch him in action to appreciate, not merely listen.
Yeah, but its the rhythm that makes the tunes. Whether he is doing the "Bo Diddley beat" or channeling Elmore James. It always grooves.
You should also check out his song," One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer".
haha 15 seconds in and you're smiling and bangin'! Lol love it

I sang this song all the time as a kid..
Any song by George is awesome
That sax !!!!! F**K YEAH !!!!
On a musical level, this is a kick a$$ song. On a psychological level, it's a term paper. Loved your reaction, Angela. 👍 👍
Riding around the backroads drinking beer in the 80's with my friends, perfect song!! ❤😊
Got tickets to see George this July in Santa Fe
Aloha and of course love her reactions Ooorah to your time line Semper Fi ciaos

Angela have you ever seen the 80s movie Christine about the car? This song was played in that movie. Awesome movie as well.

Great reaction
Let's go to the bar and have a few drinks 🍻
Can't help but move when you listen to this. Love you, as always !!
Hey Angela's got the moves
The live video of this is great
oh she got this
The riff was a throw back to muddy waters “hoochie coochie man” maybe you heard that riff before
I drink alone' is a good one too

Well this song is good to the bone! A true hit and part of movie soundtracks and many covers. Angela, you felt that electrifying George Thorogood riff too, didn't you? 😎🎸💥
You are so fun to watch...I swear, that raw energy....geeeeezzzz🤪🤪🤪
The riff was used in the movie "Terminator II" but most likely others as well.
Saw in 1985 this was awesome show
I love your smile...

bababababerry good selection.
One Bourbon, one Scotch, one Beer is also a nice family friendly story tune he sings.
I'd love to go dancing with you. There's just one problem, I can't dance! :)
Great track and reaction too! (got to say though it's driving me nuts trying to read your shirts backward lol)

May have had heard this in a commercial for Buick Grand National, check out commercial
You ought to do more George Thorogood. May I suggest "One Bourbon, One Scotch and One Beer". You will no regret it. 🙂
Damn, now I need one bourbon, one scotch, and one beer. 🤭😂
George made great driving songs. Hard to keep your foot off the gas pedal with songs like this.

Great artist and song! Hey Mikey I think she likes it! 😁😁
Great Jam! Later to become Al Bundy’s theme music on the tv show Married with children.
Total bluesy Rock classic!
Love love this song
Good to see you really getting into this one.
Gotta love George. We had fun with this one when it came out.
The first part of the song is in Terminator 2
Also Christine a film about a possessed Plymouth Fury based on a novel by Stephen King.
@keith goode when I was in the navy, we had an airplane that we named Christine, in reference to the movie. If she liked you she would fly when she probably shouldn't have. But if she didn't, nothing you did would get her in the air.
You should watch his live stuff!
