This has aged better in a dozen years than the new cover has in a month. Life can be a strange phenomenon sometimes.
That’s cause it’s timbaland! Of course it’s a great beat
Karma’s a bitch
this version hits for me. i never hated jojo siwa’s version but there was something about it i couldn’t vibe with and i think it’s the fact it sounds like kidz bop, also hearing how brit wanted this as her first single but no one else did makes me even happier for that she’s getting some love and recognition for it, downloading it on itunes rn.
👏 👏👏👏
Myb u can't vibe with Jojo bcz of the allegations she is surrounded by and the problematic people she supports
Literal proof that this song is not bad. It's just the way Jojo Siwa did it.

These types of replies make me want to rip my hair out. Anyways JOJO cant sing
Rip it out boo@@Iceyxp3
True💗 this version sounds more calm and mature
Jojo version sounded like kidz pop😭
I know everybody is talking about the song but dammit we also should talk about the video. I love the style. The video being mostly in black and white with the occasional bold color. No over the top visuals or weird choreography. It's mature and simple.
The entire "Thou shall not lie, thou shall not cheat" lyric motif makes sense in a music video set in a church. It's cohesive and makes the video feel more like an art piece rather then just visuals to accompany the video. It's a confessional. The lyrical motif makes no sense on a cruse ship/island themed music video.
Much better than Jojos pennywise concept
@@ethanchasejackson It's a legit jumpscare whenever I see her 💀
Reminds me of the sin city movies, I dig it.
No over the top visuals? You must be joking
@@skippygirl959 It's pretty standard for music videos from the early 2010's. I'm comparing it to those.

1M In three days??? She should've released this.
it’s over 1M cause of jojo’s trending song that sounded similar to this. if it this was released in like 2014, it would just be a regular song
I cannot deny that this would ate the 2010 era
@@foreverwrIdis that when it was recorded?
@@foreverwrIdsimilar? Gurl jojo literally bought this song lol
@@obamiumsussygaming2107 yes ik that lol, I’m saying this original song got over 1M really fast because of that jojo song that sounded the exact same as the original song
how was Jojo ever planning to outdo this version when it was literally produced by TIMBALAND AND he plays pastor’s role in the music video?? so iconic
@@IvanaSantiniThe song was written by Rock Mafia, a songwriting and production duo, and Smith's version of the track was produced by Timbaland, who also co-starred in her unreleased video
@@jasminekennedy4774 ok weird I saw somewhere else he didn't I know he did Provocative but I'll take your word for it. It made little sense to me that he'd be in the video and not have produced it so I shouldn't have trusted the first info lol

I'm just glad the beginning actually sounds like "bad girl" instead of "bagel."

In a parallel universe this song was actually released and everybody would be commenting how they used to listen to it back in the days.

Honestly, seeing the song this way, it’s a pretty catchy song. I wish they released it in 2012 like they had planned because it definitely would have gotten popular.
Timbaland, the video, the vocals…this is a hidden gem and it’s a crime it was never released as it is here.
The true crime is that they sold the song to Jojo Siwa😭
Thank GOD it is not jojo's original song because I felt like I enjoy it, it's actually talented people's creation😭😭
hahahahaha exactly now I sing it all day and I don't feel guilty
Not gonna lie, Brit Smith's version is quite catchy and nice to listen while Jojo Siwa... uh... it sounded kinda childish?
@@vitariio_I sing it though, I didn't felt that guilty, before I knew this version, I kinda felt guilty singing the Jojo Siwa's version, but the Brit Smith's version? It's really nice and a banger 🗣️🔥🔥
