The blue ranger from RPM also said he tried out for a number of power rangers before RPM. He finally got it in RPM

I swear, fans know and can do this quicker and get it more right then the actual actors and actresses themselves. It’s actually mind-boggling.
It's not that mind-boggling, the actors probably don't always keep up with the show after they leave and probably don't always see the other actors at comic con all the time so it's not impossible to believe that some of them, like Jason here, wouldn't know every actor that has portrayed their colour.
It's totally fair. They're not all mega fans. I myself haven't watched any full seasons since wild force so I would've been stumped for all the guys after
