Has anyone noticed told he is breaking the elbow and yet trying to use the arm that is broken to control the attackers movement ?. so many times this is being said like the arm is still useful to the attacker what most is over kill of the attacker ?...
Hi! I've practiced Kenpo for 15 years and I have an answer! It's looks complicated, but it's actually really simple. The purpose of the drills is not to do all the techniques on one person at the same time, you're just practicing several different techniques in order one after another to practice keeping a flow. It's just a flow drill with one technique after another, not meant to be done like this in real life. It's like working on a hanging bag but having a compliant partner instead. In real life, you will never know how the bad guy is going to move or fall, but even though, you still have a routine to follow to keep the discipline going so you don't stall and freak out. For example, you see him taking a long time to stomp the guy into the ground after he's already down. Nobody is going to move around a bad guy and keep stomping him after he's unconscious. All he's doing is practicing different ways to keep him down. It's like stomping on a heavy bag that laying on the ground, but it's an actual person that you're practicing on. Anyways, I hope this answered your VERY valid question. This is just a drill for moving around someone.

Looks too complicated to work in reality
