Greatest show I ever saw. Ed said at the beginning that they were going to play more songs than they ever had before, and play them better than they ever had before, and it sure seemed to me like they did. Also, according to Ed at the end of the show, it was the first time they played Present Tense and Off He Goes in concert.

Eddie stopping the show to try and get people to listen, why oh why do people have to ruin it for so many others? So sad and selfish. I hope nobody was badly hurt, must be such a responsibility for the band to have to keep stopping and asking if people will just give a few steps back and look after thy neighbour.......
Love PJ have done since I was 18-19 (am now 43 🙄🙈) getting older sucks but atleast getting older and watching your favourite band still keep growing is pretty damn good 💜🤘🏻😘xxxx

I can vouch for what he said. I was there for night 1, the night before. I almost died and I was 6’4” 215 in pretty good shape. Could bench about 275? You literally are NOT touching the ground. You are about 1.5-2” off the ground n are kept up by the forces pressing around you. So if the crowd sways it is exactly like a strong wave so to speak & you just go with the current. Scary part is if your caught in the undertow. Next thing you know the immediate 4-5 around you , are on top of you and the momentum of a thousand people come trampling you tand not malicious but to keep their balance and it pins you down.
So packed and suffocating you can’t breath or see the sky! Just pure darkness and instant fight for your life fear!!
I had to punch n claw my way back up . You literally “ CLIMB” to the top using any means necessary including the person next to you . I felt absolutely horrible doing it because it’s at the expense of others. A lot of girls too actually who I’d try n help bring up if I could.
It was the idiots trying to butt everyone who waited all day and shoving their way through and naturally nobody wants to give up their spot. Eventually there’s nothing you can do. It’s like the ocean when you see how far away you are from your stuff.
I went from the railing somehow back to soundboard. Bunch of wanna be tough guys , future MAGA men.
The kind who stopped following them within 2 years. I really really loved the 98-06 tours! To me that was ideal live PJ experience.

I was there night one, WOW..I was 6’4 215-220 , 21 yrs old in great shape and Ive NEVER EXPERIENCED anything like that show. Most of the time my feet were not touching the ground at all you literally are in a tide of people. I spent the show just trying to survive it. About 3-4X I got sucked into the undertow and had to almost bring down people including girls to save myself from getting crushed . Like climb her to keep my head afloat in a way but also trying to not let her go under, pulling them up. Horrible man and it was the jerkoffs who I know weren’t gonna be following them 3-4 yrs from then.
Here I waited all day front row was on the railing and somehow at start of Last Exit which opened I was 10 FT back n by Black I was near soundboard. You could see who was causing the problem. Wanna be tough guys storming last minute to get close!!
You obsess and love your fav band for 5 years , fantasize about seeing them 1,000X over in your head - chance comes, called the hotline , score tix, drive 4 hours high on life and it ends up the way it did. The forced “surviving” the show definitely tarnished the idea I had waiting up to it.
    However……
I have the image and memory of the “ OMG” Theres EDDIE!!!! He’s ACTUALLY right there and I’m here. It’s really happening. So there was that moment I’ll NEVER forget as long as I live. The smells and image tattooed forever. Now I also was a recipient of getting a dry, reach around during Black for about 3 mins from a hot girl , who’s boyfriend was behind her n didn’t mind. I thought it was an accident but I turned around n they were both smiling n he kind of nodded. I couldn’t move, was at her mercy (their mercy) but at least my feet were on ground. So two very WTF 😳 memorable moments to say the least from my Randall’s Island experience. Indifference in the rain was pretty memorable too as the closer.
The getting out? We couldn’t go anywhere. Like he says getting out was impossible-So it was another event in and of itself… So we smoked our brains out and passed out. When we woke up there was NOBODY around.. could hear a pin drop . We saw maybe 2-3 cars left around the entire venue. Such a crazy crazy experience to say the absolute least. I still got my tie die no code bootleg shirt ( with beer face Ed) from a lone hustler roaming around as we left.

Well I was there the night before but I can only assume the crowd was exactly the same. If you watch it he mentions “ last night “.
No with the crowd being insane, imagine it with rain. We had rain at our show night before.
