It's not the devs. It's higher management 's fault combined with lay'offs and lowzy salaries. Most devs have jumped ship to smaller compagnies that are constantly looking for people with these profiles. Compagnies like Larian Studios for example.
Doesn't matter they all apart of the issue
As long as these modifiers are optional, that's fine with me, the bad part will be when they become mandatory.
