G'day Chris, well every piece except the blade of my Houge Deka is in the bin lol true story & thank you Chris for actually admitting that it feels flimsy in hand so many try to justify its utterly breakable in hand feel, but you didn't & I respect that. I don't think I've ever been more disappointed in a knife than with the blue HD in magnacut, was really looking forward to it. Now for those who aren't sponsored & paid to say certain things about certain knives wink wink, it's a no brainer, TJ Shwartz Overlander = A KNIFE & A DARN GREAT KNIFE AT THAT!! The Houge Deka in Magnacut on the other end of the spectrum = NOT a knife!! or aka The Houge Crapper in Poopcut!!! lol I heard people calling the Deka a bugout killer & this & that, well..... the only thing my Deka killed was my bin liner lol Thanks again Chris another great episode. Ps, I'm sincerely not trying to rag on Houge either, great American company been in the firearms industry almost forever, but I'm sorry a good knife is a good knife & alternatively a bad knife or a DUD knife is exactly that also, & the Deka was almost $200Aud that I'll never see again LOL. I did however make a fixed blade out of a Kubey Momentum frame & the Deka wharncliff blade LOL I call it the Hubey Dekentum LOL cuts like a ripper actually LOL true story mate. Take care & God bless you all.

Dang! That sucks!!! I will tell you straight up, when I got.my Deka in I was so let down by it. It feels cheap!!! Now, I see these knife guys putting after market scales in titanium on it and it's looks and feels great, but here's the thing, if I want to pay$100 for.scales then I'll just buy a knife with tita ium handles for $250. Makes no dang sense! Hogue.makes great knives, but the Deka feels cheap!!! Bugout killer??? Lol. Bugout kills itself with the same cheap feeling. But that's just my opinion.

@theun-professionaldad2232 Amen & Amen!!! Yep, I never likes the bug out, never bought one, I went a Benchmade Adamas in Cruware, now that is a Benchmade that in no way feels cheap mate even in my larger than average meat mitt lol👍 re the houge deka, meh!! I've got many knives & have only been truly let down by one 🤔🤔 scratch that two knives (it was a Civivi something or other lol) so I think I'm doing just fine Chris, & I wasn't complaining either simply stating facts about the HD in mag, I didn't try to get refunded, even after my issue with Chaves I didn't go out trying to get a new one or this or that, I simply let them know in an email, so it wouldn't happen to someone else. & yep houge do make some good knives I've heard great things about the mysto but don't know how keen I am for round 2 lol. & yeah, I know about after market scales making knives feel better & all that jazz, but it's a principle thing, I don't pay that sort of money to have to instantly turn around & pay $150-$180-$200Aud in order to make a knife feel the way it should from factory, if they sold the knife for $50 then it might be a viable option however at almost $200aud for the "knife" lol & then say $180Aud for scales that basically says that the Houge Deka is now a $380Aud knife that I don't think is worth $100 so yeah, if other people want to do that, great sincerely wish them well, but I'm not Johnny money bags Rockefeller, & to me it just seems like trying to put lipstick on a pig, doesn't matter how shiny it's lips are......lol 😉 it's still a pig!!

@theun-professionaldad2232 Amen brother Chris!!! I've had my folding Adamas for a while now, & if the folder Adamas is as reliable as it is, lol & IT IS!! then I could only imagine what a fixed bladed version would do 😀👍. Take care mate 👍 😀

I saw that coming yrs ago! I spoke with friends and warned them of the coming flood of high-quality China made knives. China started cornering the market on minerals, resources, and steel yrs ago. Before then, most of the China made knives were made with poor steel, now though, it's cheaper to get knives of good quality made there than anywhere else. They have all the steel to do it. This is also why so many replicas are coming out. Knife companies send their designs there to be made, then as soon as Chinese factories are done with those runs, they take the plans and make cheap replicas.
