I really love the landscape of the islands. The drone footage really shows how stunning the area is. How wonderful that you are able to spend time out there to enjoy the solitude. Zero bugs, what a treat that is! 😊
Hi. Thank you very much. I know you've visited some spectacular places yourself so I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on this landscape. The solitude was really very nice. Thanks as always.
Awesome camping spot and I love the idea of kayak camping. It must be so nice to have that little island all to yourself. Weather lools perfect and no bugs.
Another wonderful trip location and neat “craft” comparison. I just paddled RMs new solo canoe with a kayak paddle and loved the ease, manoeuvrability, comfort and stability of the small canoe. I’ve rarely paddled a kayak after decades of canoeing, but do agree that both have their merits depending on specific trip and use. Being on the water in either is a gift I’ll always cherish!
I agree with everything you said. I do love canoes, unfortunately they don't love me, I find sitting in them hard on my back. I'm going to have to try a seat with a backrest, that might do the trick. Thanks for watching.
I just came back from there yesterday. I took my grandson for a 4 day trip around the island. I picked Monday for the weekend crowd to be gone. Blue skies the whole time there was wonderful! I smelled it too but I recognized it to be a faint smell of swamp gas! Take care Daryl✌
A four day trip - that's awesome. It's such a beautiful landscape. We missed each other by just a few days. Oh interesting, I didn't know what sewer gas smelled like but I guess I do now! Thanks Marc.
Congratulations on making 100 videos. I haven’t seen them all but the ones I have seen are educational and well put together. The Georgian Bay is beautiful. So many islands everywhere. Nice little island campsite. 👍14
Thank you Kathleen. Any comment about photography or shots, coming from you, means a ton. I hope one day you and Shannon can find your way up to that area, I bet you could do wonders with the scenery and wildlife you encounter. In the meantime, thanks as always. Daryl
Thanks Janson. I really did find a nice campsite but as you know yourself, there is no shortage of opportunities out there. I hope to see more Killarney videos from you in the future. Cheers. Daryl
🙂❤👍Thank You Daryl the Scenery is Amazing and very Beautiful what a Great Place to Camp and Kayak the Drone Shots are Awesome. looking forward to your next Adventure.🙂❤👍When i first glanced at your video i thought it said Prince Edward Island loved Hearing the Geese on the Lake. 🙂
Thanks Robert. Yes, I often have to think twice before I say Phillip Edward Island out loud, that's an easy mistake to make! Thanks as always and I'm looking forward to your next video. Cheers. Daryl
Thank you for the comment and your ongoing support. And you're right, too much gear, but at least two of those bags I needed for camera equipment and electronics but I think I can do better down the road. Thanks again. Daryl
Exciting kayak adventure! How fun to find your own special island! The paddling lake level views and the overhead views were wonderful! The rock formations are intriguing! Are the parallel lines from glaciers? Beautiful spot- good thing all your stuff fit in your kayak, lol! Wow, what a perfect place to relax and leave the outside world behind!! Congratulations on 100 videos!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Jen 😄
Thank you, Jen. I really appreciate the compliments. Yes, on this part of the continent, the glaciers moved in a south west direction 15000 years ago and gouged out the rocks as you noticed. They took down the mountains that were here but left us with the beautiful Lake Huron shoreline. Thanks again for watching. Daryl
Wow, that was just awesome! What a trip! I could relate to so many things in the video - it was almost like I had "smell-o-vision"! Memories... 🥹 Congrats on the milestone! Your acheivement is our enoymemt! Thank you, Daryl!
Thanks Jeff, that means a lot. I hope going forward I'll have some more Georgian Bay/Lake Huron content though it'll probably mean less frequent videos published from other places, as you know, it's hard to beat that landscape because little else compares to it. Maybe Superior. 😉
This is awesome Daryl.. Sunset on Georgian Bay... Spectacular... What a wonderful way to celebrate the 100th video... I just love the sound of the water lapping up on those rocks.. You sure picked a beautiful area to kayak/ camp. I really appreciate all of the hard work you put into these adventures... I have yet to try kayak camping but it's on my bucket list... Thanks for the beautifully entertaining video and motivation. Jim 😊✌️
Thanks buddy. I really appreciate your support and I know you recognize the effort that goes into some of the shots; you do plenty of that yourself. Keep up the great work and I'll keep watching. Cheers!
Great area of the northern Ontario to film your 100th video.. The Phillip Edward Island area is classic Georgian Bay and has some stunning views from island campsites and you picked a great one. Hope you pinned on your GPS for future adventures. Thanks for sharing this slice of heaven on Earth!!
Thanks! It is beautiful, as you well know. I was glad to get a solo trip out there this summer. I hope to do more as well but the summer is flying by! Thanks Al. Cheers. Daryl
Thank you for that treat. I have always wanted to paddle there, your video just put it to the top of the list. Love Georgian Bay, especially the northern version.
Hi! Yes, I know you appreciate that shoreline as much as I do. I sincerely hope you can get up here with your boat and do some exploring. If I can help facilitate that, please let me know. Cheers. Daryl
I have to tell you Daryl, you're making excellent videos my friend! Great drone footage. Awesome campsite and that's quite the gear but if you're not having to carry it on your back then carry all you want. Awesome campsite and a big congratulations on your 100th video! Keep'em coming my friend.
Many thanks, Jim. Those words mean a lot coming from you. I took some good-natured ribbing about the amount of gear I had, but it also served as really good ballast to help stabilize the kayak. 😀 Thanks as always my friend. Have a wonderful weekend. Daryl
Congratulations on your 100th video and way to celebrate it🙏👍. What a beautiful location. It reminded us a little bit of the Broken Group Island's, just to of the coast from us. We appreciate the time, effort and care you put into your videos. Here's to the next 100 🍻. All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
Congratulations on your 100th video! What a great video too, in a stunning location. It looked so relaxing, the sound of the paddle splashing through the water, the idyllic view. It's amazing how many bags you fit into the kayak 😆
Thank you Hiker T. I know you know how much work goes into making videos so I really appreciate your comment. Yes, I think I can trim down the amount of gear a little for the next one. Thanks again.
Congrats on your 100th video! ❤ Awesome! We're so behind on videos lately with being on vacation, so we'll hopefully be catching up soon! 😊 Love the kayaking. Such great scenery. Nice drone shots! Beautiful islands. Wonderful campsite. 🏕 We love how they say it's a 2-person tent when you barely can fit one. We have a 3-person tent, and we both fit just right. 😂 Three would be a very tight fit. Yummy, blueberries! 🫐 Nice there's no bugs!!! This was a lovely 100th video! Great job, Daryl! 💞 Love the sunset at the end. 😊
Congrats on the 100! For me, I'd be worried about anyone who is "perfectly fine" about anything! LOL I can certainly see why it would be a favoured place for many to escape. That's like paddling in some areas of Kejimkujik...those rocks seem to loom out of nowhere ready to snag up the odd unfortunate canoe...ask me how I know! LOL Great spot! Bonus points on the blueberries, breeze and few bugs! Hope you really got the recharge you were looking for!
Thank you Bruce. I'm glad you got the humour in the 'perfectly fine' comment. Lol! I did recharge quite a bit, that trip has been on my list for some time. I'm missing my visits with you and Otis and I hope all is well with your both. Thanks as always. Daryl
Ugh, that had to be annoying discovering the broken camera mount. You still got some great shots though. Especially from the drone. Nice seeing the otters. I think that’s what they were. 👍44
Thanks Craig. Yes those were otters; I've noticed they get 'playful' at this time of year for some reason as this is not the first time I've encountered this behavior and it's always in September. Thanks again. Daryl
A video worthy of the #100 milestone despite that near death experience with the Canada Goose. Man, that is some incredible scenery. You said it best when you described it as ‘raw beauty’. My favourite capture is from 8:37. I just love those tongues of rock stretching out into the bay. The drone shots really give perspective on just how many islandscapes there are out there. Camp set up looked good too with shady placement of tent and tarp. Great that you had an ample supply of firewood as well. No bugs AND a breeze? This trip is going to be hard to beat. Camping solo is a lot of work. I hope you found some time to relax as well. Standing by for #101… Cheers! T.
Thank you Trevor. You know, I do try to improve my camera work because of content like yours but the truth is when I get out there, I'm just so lost in the moment that thinking about camera angles and compositions just takes a back seat to soaking the moment. That's why I'm always impressed at the way you get the best of both worlds. Anyway, I'm going to lobby you once again to think about getting yourself and your camera gear out there to Georgian Bay, I think you could do that place more justice than I did. Thanks as always, see you in your next one. Daryl
Nice job on making 100 videos🥳🎉🎊 Nope, the wife is not worried about you at all, lol😂 Life insurance and will must all be in order then😁 That's a lot of gear you have with you. Beautiful island you have there all to yourself😍 Nice camp, Daryl😊
Thanks Age, I do need to check in on the life insurance policy. Lol! Yeah, too much gear but at least three of the bags were dedicated to camera gear, drones, and batteries, some of which I didn't use so I'll gradually figure out how to dial in my gear list through trial and error. Keep up the great work at your end, I'm enjoying the variety of content you've been producing lately. Cheers. Daryl
@@flynorthproductions Three bags of camera gear! Yeah, maybe there is a thing or two that you're not using...but you know as soon as you leave it out, you'll need it😂 I'm still working out what is liked and what isn't so I do mix it up. Sometimes you think that people like something with one video and then you do a similar one and they do not like it. Trial and error sometimes😁 I do like to keep the content outdoors when I can though. I think that is the key. Get outside and enjoy it😀
Very lovely place to camp! I have heard that weather conditions on Georgian Bay can change very rapidly. Had you made any plans for how to deal with any serious storm activity? Out there in a kayak alone seems very vulnerable to me. Glad you had a great camping adventure and CONGRATS on your 100th video!
Hi Lynda. You're right, the big water seems to make its own weather, different from the inshore weather. That said, I looked at the weather forecast and was careful to choose my days, and it all worked out. I did pack extra food, first-aid, etc so I could hunker down for a couple extra days if needed. My only concern was being exposed to high winds off the water so I tried to set up on the lee side of the trees for a little protection. Luckily, the weather was wonderful. Thanks for visiting. Cheers. Daryl
Great video! I just finished a 4 day tour of the south shore of Philip Edward Island. Set up basecamp just east of Big Rock Point, and explored from there. Made it out to Hawk Island on day 2. I see you use the same camera as me, an Akaso Brave 7. Great little camera. Congrats on Episode 100 😃
Hi! Thanks so much. I had to look up Hawk Island, that's way out there! Wow, nice work! I sincerely hope you can share a video about that trip. Your past videos have been very inspiring to me, so thanks for sharing your experiences. Cheers. Daryl
I can appreciate that! I forgot to reply to you about the Akaso, I have really put it through some stuff and it has done the job. That said, my batteries don't last very long anymore and the footage occasionally seems grainy from time to time, not sure why. But for the price, it's hard to beat.
Hope you had a great trip - sure looks like it. What an area - don’t think there’s anything that matches Georgian Bay
It really was a great trip. I can't think of a more beautiful place to paddle. Thanks.

Thanks for the 100 calming Mondays!

Nice pun! Thank you for visiting. I hope you're doing well.
God, I love those rocks. My all-time favourite “shorescape” to canoe along and camp on. Perfect spot for your 100th video, Daryl, congratulations!
