The Japanese have such a respect for nature. It shows in their foods and in techniques of handling those Foods. Thank you for this awesome fruit, I hope to try it one day.
Japanese fruits are terrific! All super sweet. Their fuji apples are authentic Fuji apples very large, crunchy, juicy & sweet. So are their grapes. And I'm not even talking about those expensive ones. I bought the fruits from a roadside store during my vacation in Tokyo, the store Obasan was super polite. Bought apples and grapes back to the hotel, best fruits i ever tasted.
This is in takasaki city of gunma prefecture. The plums are also called sumomo (momo is peach, so, like sour peach?) すもも The small green plums that are pulled in pruning look like the type of plums that are used to make umeshu plum wine
In July 2020, I purchased this type of Plumb. They were not grown by Japanese farmer. It was grown in a State next to mine. I bought it thinking it was a Japanese type of Plumb. Thus, it must be exactly like the one grown right. It tasted terrible & sour as Lime. I bought a lot. I had to threw all away. This Plumb is truly delicious. I have once eaten it. It was given one for me to try by a Japanese neighbor who bought it from a Japanese local farmer. They must have followed the same method of growing this fruit from the Japanese farmer in Japan.
Bismillah. Sungguh, kami senang melihat chanel ini, karena chanel yg bagus untuk di lihat, sebab natural, tidak bermaksiat. 👍👍👍 Tpi sayang,,,,, kami tidak bisa menikmatinya, 😀😀😀
What sort of temperatures do these plum trees need? I assume something cooler, like cherries. Do they need a specific number of chill hours over winter, to be able to produce fruit?
Japanese fruits are very fresh and tasty. You just need to buy the regular priced ones from supermarkets or roadside stores, they are of same good quality.
My thoughts are that if they do not control pests using chemical insecticide, they must use biological methods to control the pests. There are many instances of this around the world, including ladybirds (known as ladybugs in the US,). neem oil and fruit fly traps using synthetic fruit fly hormone. All of these aim at controlling the population of pests (eg aphids, nematodes, flatworms, fruit flies, etc,) without using any chemicals that might effect the tree or the fruit.
Plums, like cherries, apples and peaches, cannot bear fruit in tropical countries. They can be planted and the trees will grow but they will never yield any fruits because these types of fruit trees needs something called the "chilling" process. The trees needs to be exposed to extreme cold such as winter conditions so when spring comes and the weather gets warmer, they will flower and finally in summer, they will bear fruits. So yeah, there's no point planting plums in Indonesia..
Plums & juicy & sweet & delicious & giant? Yeah, only in pashtunkhwa pakistan! No where else. Seeing is believing, no eating is believing! But i do appreciate these ones too.
By now we know that every fruit in Japan is expensive as hell. Fruits in my city are expensive too (for me) but these can't even compare. I would have to live on water and instant noodles only if I dare buy 5sets of them..
Why are they wrap with paper? The birds eat alot of my plums in my back yard. Is there anything I can do about it. Thank you. Those plums look beautiful and delicious
@@nikitakumari464 Thank you Nikita!!!! Do you know what kind of paper and how to put in on them? Do you think puting a little net bag on each of them will work too?. Do you live in Japan? Are you related to that farm? Take care and be safe.
I'm in northern CA and have fruit trees in the backyard. I wrap the fruits (apples, persimmons and avocados) on the trees from the birds and squirrels.
The size and quality of these Sumo Plums are incredible! Japan’s agriculture technology never ceases to amaze me.
