I really like the production, tbh. The comments are complaining about how it's not pop punk enough, but I'm already pretty sure this is a concept album, and this song really captures the haze of opiate high to me. The lyrics seem to check out as well. Coming to grips with the fact that the pills aren't fixing the problem. Dope. Good shit, guys.

Right, it's an elevated, more mature sound. The band is also getting older and into different stages of their lives, maybe for them they can't keep doing the same heavy stuffy but still enjoy elements of it. All the whining about it not being aggressive enough is annoying. it's a great song, still sounds like them. It (to me) is a more elevated sound for the band. It's still clearly them but... "adult" (for lack of a better term).

Elder Goose This is chill and I don’t mind it. I just hope the whole album isn’t like this. When the instrumentals hit in this, the song never really picks up. It just stays chill and static. I feel like there are points where Parker could definitely let loose and make it more memorable. Granted this is the only song out, but I hope the album is more diverse.

IMO I don't know if Parker can keep shouting like he used to. On an album Yes, but his live performances are suffering from the toll some of the songs take on him to perform them live.

That bridge especially is such a new sound. So into it.

Jesus ive legit grown with this band since late 2011, each album there was always a theme or energy that would stick to me, and it was always odd how it was reminiscient to how my life was playinng out. From “under soil” the vibrant energy, to “what you dont see” turmoil and gloom represented so much of what i and many others felt too. Hearing this is just so fucking crazy, with all the experiences ive had, i still can closely relate to these songs, and if anything this hits me so hard cause it puts everything i been thru in so much perspective. I dig this song so much. It has so many dif elements but the same snarl just like the other tssf songs. I havent been this pumped for an album after hearing this. It took me back , just wish it were longer but i guess that can be looked as a theme as well.
Love it. They are maturing and evolving. It’s not going to be exactly like heir last albums. This is perfect.

It's been growing on me as well - I do crave the harsher stuff (The Glass, Daughters) though and I think that's what a lot of people are missing in this song. Overall though I think it's good and shows evolution which is most important for a band to stay together.
christian torres just keep listening to the song every now and then and maybe try to get familiar with the lyrics, that might help a bit. The song could just not be for you though which is completely fine 🤷🏻♂️ it’ll probably fit better with the full album honestly
