    Hola buenas noches. Quiero comprar está máquina pero no está disponible para México. Podrias apoyarme para comprarla. Yo pagaría el envío de EUA a México. Saludos.

    Like you said, for the home hobbyist that needs to stick two pieces of metal together on occasion, this welder is probably a good choice for the money.

      Thanks Tom. It was an uncomfortable review, because of my lack of experience with MIG.

    I've always wanted to check out one of these inexpensive welders. It'd e nice to have a super portable MIG and Stick welder without needing to drag around my heavy machines and bottles.

      You make a good argument for the flux only MIG welders, at least for some use cases.

      I’m not a professional welder by any means but I learned how to weld with a cheap flux machine and although its gasless it gets the job done just fine and it’s very portable and simple.. Mig welding with argon gas is definitely cleaner in my opinion but otherwise I have no complaints

      Thanks for the tip. As you can tell, I know very little about MIG. I even told Vevor before they sent the welder to me that you might be better served having an expert review your tool or perhaps that is what they were worried about.

    You had your heat up too high for such thin metal. You should have welded on a piece of angle iron or some scrap 1/4" steel. Welding thin tubing like that can be a little tricky; because not only is it thin, the steel quality is not that great and can give you random results at times, which can confuse you and think your settings are off.... I can usually weld thin stuff like that even when my power is too high -- just by "spotting" basically. Just zap it for 1 or 2 seconds and then give it 1 second to cool. Or you can even move to the other side of the crack. Spot weld it on one side and then the other, then back to the first, etc.. and back and forth so that there is no wait time and you can keep moving. That few seconds it takes to spot weld your other side will allow it to cool and you most likely won't burn holes that way.. With enough practice, you'll get better at timing when to let off the trigger.. You can try to turn your heat down, but then you are risking not getting good penetration. But like I said, you're better off welding two 1/4" pieces of scrap or angle iron for practice- because you can crank the heat and give your speed of movement some trial and error; Once you figure out the pace, then later that thinner tube will be a little more advanced challenge at figuring out your heat.. But for example: sheet metal on cars, you almost always have to use the pull off method/ again -- quick spot weld, and then pull off to let it cool for 1 or 2 seconds, and repeat.

      Thank you so much for the tips. Very helpful. I did try some thicker metal, but only for a couple of welds. I would try your suggestions, but I gave the welder to my niece.

    way to much stick out... it's not mig.. its flux core.. it sounds good.. For the price it's a decent flux core welder. Is the torch hot, or is it switched with the feed switch?
    I'm curious how it stick welds.

    Thank you,very useful. I just got one of these for Christmas and I will be keen to see how it works. I did not find the documentation particularly useful but your video helped clarify a couple of items. In particular the documentation didn’t make it very clear which terminal to use for the grounding wire when doing MIG welding. You showed the bottom/negative terminal is the one to use. Is that correct?

    • @DudleyToolwright
      @DudleyToolwright  Год назад

      Thanks. I believe that I had it correct. If you get the terminals backward with MIG, I would guess that the weld wire would not melt properly and possibly damage the consumables. However, I am really an absolute novice with MIG welding, so that was only a guess.

    • @sebdewhurst7276
      @sebdewhurst7276 Год назад +1

      @@DudleyToolwright Yes I did a bit more research on this and it seems that for flux core (gasless) MIG welding, it’s essential to use positive ground. This is opposite for standard MIG welding with gas, for which you use negative ground.

      @@sebdewhurst7276Hello how are you, just to confirm in the MIG130 VEVOR, that if you are working with flux wire, the pole you must use for ground is positive, if you look closely you will see the ground clamp drawn on that pole.

    • @calholli
      @calholli 2 года назад +1

      Yeah.. but I still have a couple little cracker box welders like this laying around. They come in really handy-- for when you don't want to set up your big welders and mess with all the settings, etc.. Just plug this in and go and you can get the quick jobs knocked out. I like mine.... Although, my main switch did go bad after using it for years-- so I just took it apart and bypassed it; So now it turns on when you plug it in. I may cut the cord and throw a standard/ house light switch on it if I need to. but it's been fine for a couple of years being wired direct.

      @@DudleyToolwright it's not a mig welder, it's not a tig welder.
      i hate it when a manufacturer says it is a mig, tig and mma welder even there is NO gas connector on the device ? I've never seen that before.
      if the manufacturer had been honest they would have called it a only fluxcore and a sort off mma welder.
      it's just ridiculous that there is no gas connector !
