New Jack’s story about malt liquor (St Ides, Colt 45 are just two brands) reminded me of something Dick Gregory (RIP 🙏🏾🙏🏾) about that stuff, paraphrasing: ML has a very high selenium content. Too much selenium in the brain makes people violent. He named a town in Australia that was built near a huge selenium repository, possibly even a mine (?). The water was basically infused with it, and the murder rate was the highest on the planet. This is, according to Mr Gregory, a known fact…and the reason why if you walk into a liquor store in a wealthy neighborhood malt liquor products are not sold (yet ML is ubiquitous in the ‘hood🤔) FTR, most of the people living (and doing the killing) in the Australian town were white…but the issue was selenium toxicity NOT race.
RIP Jerome “New Jack” Young, possibly both the funniest and most controversial figure in wrestling history. Gone but never forgotten.
