Dude are these guys located in Portland or somewhere in Canada?? I feel like I have heard them talk about being in Vancouver as well as Portland a bunch.... I have always been confused about this haha.
Isn’t the idea of a goodwill to provide discounted items for people who can’t afford to buy new? Seems a bit sketchy to buy an item designed for poor people, to then resell it for more money in your own store
That is not the way Goodwill works. Goodwill sells items in its stores to be able to provide jobs for people who otherwise have a hard time finding work, usually due to a disability of some sort. I often see items in Goodwill priced higher than you can get them for at Target, Dollar Tree, or on Amazon. Nothing is designed to be discounted to help people who can't afford new items. Goodwill sells items for as much as they possibly can.
@@DoubleJumpVideoGames so you buy items from goodwill, then resell them at your store for profit. Goodwill is 100% designed to help lower socioeconomic shoppers. To say otherwise is disingenuous.
@@CraftingSquared if that were even remotely true, then Goodwill would not have a massive presence in e-commerce. They have their own auction site where everything sells for high prices, they sell on eBay and Amazon, and they have other websites like goodwill books. If their mission was to sell items at a discount to underprivileged people, they would actually do that. I would suggest doing some research into Goodwill, because they have been caught paying disabled workers pennies on the dollar, among many other controversies. Don’t take out your misdirected anger at a small business owner who does whatever they can to make sure their business stays profitable and they can pay all their employees a fair wage. Get angry at the multi billion dollar business that takes advantage of its workers while masquerading as a charity.
@@DoubleJumpVideoGames strange stance to have an apparent hatred for goodwill, whilst simultaneously shopping there. Your arguments are very wishy washy. My opinion is shop at goodwill, get the best deals/profit margins you can. But it’s scummy to then be like “hey guys I bought this game for $10 and it’s worth $60” (you haven’t literally said this, it’s an example) to then flex your deal on camera and sell it for $60 in your store. Only because goodwills foundational shopper is the lower class. To me it’s like lining up in a soup kitchen, getting a free meal meant for the homeless then telling all your other middle class friends about how much money u saved on that meal. It’s just tasteless
I have a set of four Xbox one glasses that have the logo and right under the logo they have the legend "I stole this from an Xbox one event". No I didn't steal them, I had them made on etsy, they had them at some microsoft event thing, and that warning backfired so badly. I mean, who wouldn't want to own one, specially if it says you stole it LOL. Fun fact, I posted them on a FB group to show them,, and some idiot gave me crap about them, because they were not the real thing. So he was complaining they weren't legitimately stolen, needless to say, everyone laughed at his stupid comment.
weird gaming merch: N64 tacobell Killer instinct tokens - you could collect the tokens which have point values on the back and you could trade in tokens that add up to 64 to win a N64 from taco bell. Killer instinct employee pin
