I can’t tell you how much I love Nike Air Max 90 Infrared trainers. I have a huge emotional attachment to them. About ten years ago, when I was 12, my mum’s new boyfriend, Jack, bought me a pair of these trainers as a gift. I was a working class lad and my mum could never afford to buy any branded trainers, so when I got these I just felt like a king. I couldn't believe how lucky I was. I was a shy and anxious sort of lad, and so Jack encouraged me to wear my trainers to school, even though it wasn’t allowed. I was too timid to do so, for fear of being told off, so one day he ‘mislaid’ my school shoes so that I’d have no choice but to wear my trainers. As silly as it might sound, that day truly helped bring me out of my shell, with all the compliments I received from my mates, classmates, and even from the older kids, who thought my trainers were amazing. As it happens, I never wore a pair of school shoes to school again! Jack became my stepdad later the same year and he has been an amazing influence in my life - and it all started with these trainers! I bought the Gore-Tex ones as soon as they were released, and needless to say, my stepdad was very pleased to see that! I love having them to wear.

That’s ok 👍🏻 pretty much a simalar story except couldn’t afford them, I never asked for them, I wanted them when I was in school but ended up getting the air more uptempo black white instead, the Infareds always seemed to evade me and by the time I I could afford them they had sold out . Finally last year I picked them up and rock them a lot! my most complimented and looked at sneaker 👟 I’ll b making a update video on them at some point in the near future that will b worth a watch! if you enjoy my passion for air max 90 please share with your friends and family they may like the love I have for them I have many vides👍🏻
These are great, and your review was totally on point. I have a different color way of this GORETEX 90 and just about everything you mention here was true for me as well. They were not very comfortable at first, but once you break them in there are wonderful, and they have saved my feet in rain puddles on many occasions. Love em!
Same happened to me. I wore them from about 15 days in the last 21 and now they're super comfortable. However, they got dirty very quickly. The way they crease are annoying too

My favourite sneaker/colorway of all time. I was frothed to add the Gortex version to the collection ... but when I tried them on, the toebox shape and slightly different hues and vs my 2020's put me off a bit tbh. Also saw reviews saying they are stain magnets if it is wet/muddy, and hard to cleanup ... so ive held of until they go on sale as they are sitting everwhere over here . Hopefully they keep sitting and I can grab a pair or 2 for a steal! 😁. Seems like a good one for trips to the snow maybe? Never enough AM90s ... 2020 reissue still my favourite though 🙌

I bought the Goretex infrared like a month ago and I didn't like the fact that my feet kept sweating. Then I watched your video and I really liked what you said about the Kiss My Airs Infrared AM90. Now that I got both versions, I can clearly say that the Kiss My Airs are way better than the Goretex ones.

The gore-tex are meant to be wear in the rainy season. That is why I bought the other colors vs this color. I have to wash my feet every-time after each wear because of the smelly feet. This one is selling way below retail on Stock X - I wonder why?
The sweaty part is a bit vexing, but I think there great! splashing in massive puddles and not getting wet in my favourite colorway of all time I’m happy to put up with it lol 😂
@@ryanskicks I only walk to school with my kids in them. I thought I'd test them for rain but they can't handle it. I also have the light blue and black non gortex ones and Air max 87 but the infrared are ruined quickly.
@@stevengreig4386 that’s why I think there dodgy I use mine in really bad rain 🌧️ and they’ve cleaned up nice no issues with outsole or materials I’d take them back where did u get them from
Are the red parts painted or the color of the plastic? Bc one thing I hate is when it’s painted and starts to chip off easy. I do like the newer shape with the trimmer black panel as they did with the crafted AM 90’s. Since I have the last he last infrared from a few years ago and stick with them for now, I also have a blue pair with the infrared trim. Funny how sneaker heads are really into details like the red bottom, but you don’t even see the bottom and eventually get dirty and messy.

Crepe protect is the best for cleaning but the yellowing is a natural aging effect there is a way to remove with acetone and uk light but I’ve never tried
Its strange that the Gore-tex on these trainers prevents breathability considering the very point of Gore-Tex technology is to be waterproof without preventing breathability. What have Nike done with these trainers if they've messed up that very technology that they have licensed into their product??
You must have soft feet dude. They’re sneakers. Not boots. Have nearly 50 pairs of 90’s and none of them need breaking in. No sneakers I’ve ever had needed breaking in, and I wear Red Wing boots so I know about breaking in. And I have these by the way. The leather 90’s are brilliant shoes.
Soft feet 😂😂 everyone fits things differently mate I’ve had to break in many 90s it all depends on materials for me mainly leather annoys me the am90 terrascapes felt crap at first now there awesome I was born in the 80s nothing soft here my dude

There’s a way to remove that creasing hot wet towel and iron but I’m to nervous about trying it lol
I love that you're doing these updates. Picked these up again on sale for 103 Euros after having returned them previously due to the hefty price.

Hey guys, how to clean this shoes i have pair, but idunno how to clean, the white part is yellowing or stain.

This color is have to clean when you used in the rain with dirt and mud :(
My sole has also completely worn through aswell. In 2 months the sole was worn down. My addidas torsion have lasted much longer.

My pair have started to fall apart after 4 months. The sole definately cannot handle rain. My soles have started to crack badly.
