This won the fan poll for their US tour. They think it's because it has some traditional Japanese instruments, but most fans voted for it because it's a goofy song they don't perform very often. 🤭
I enjoyed it! They have a cool blend of genres that’s working for them.
Cute.. fun one to watch
Ryan loves key changes 😆😉
Passcode is everything great with Idol Pop Rock - lots of fun and energy, great musicianship and harmony singing, no autotune in use to pitch missed notes, but fun use of vocoder (for the digital robotic sound of their vocal style, like guitar player might use Wah-pedals as effect e.g.) - I believe in the musical competence of Marty - and myself 😅 (this is clearly not addressed to Ryan 😇) to judge Passcode as a great and fun group and a wonderful further example of the innovative Japanese music scene, who constantly jumps out of boxes … and live a force too.
Nao has confirmed auto-tune is being used for the effect on their vocals. Auto-tune and vocoder can be programmed to sound almost exactly the same, but they use auto-tune. I'm pretty sure if they used vocoder over auto-tune the vocal runs like in Freely would have to be samples instead of done live like it is now.
@@ckiemnstr345 yes, you are technically absolutely right, I just used the different terms more in the sense to illustrate the difference to use aid for vocal tuning or vocal effects as answer to the statement Passcode is everything wrong in music e.g. autotune
@@cholatse6745 Understandable, I do the same with people new to PassCode due to how most treat auto-tune.
Passcode is everything wrong with music. Auto tune and not playing at its pop worst. Makes me appreciate the good stuff at least.
If PassCode is pop I want to be on what you're on. 🤣
I can think of a LOT of worse things in music than a band that mixes metal and pop so efficiently...... It's spelled "modern country"
