- Named after the icy Arctic summits, this new-for-2022 custom designed Premier Rides Sky Rocket coaster at SeaWorld Orlando features four airtime filled launches, both backwards and forwards, culminating in a reverse launch into the steepest beyond vertical drop in the state - a 93 feet (28m) tall spike with 100° angle. The thrills continue as riders fly over a near vertical tophat maneuver into a series of exciting twists, turns, and airtime hills at speeds reaching up to 52 mph (83,5 km/h) along 1,900 feet (579m) of track.
Check out the other on-ride POV video we posted to see what it's like to ride in the back seat of this thrilling coaster: • Ice Breaker back seat ...

I honestly think the park needed this, the park doesn’t have a “transitionary” ride, one that in between thrill and family.
Too bad they changed to heigh requirement to be the same as Mako on opening day..
@@StickellsPlaysNow wow, they really put the height requirement to 54 inches? That’s beyond stupid for a ride that looks like it should be 48 inches. Hell, even Iron Gwazi’s height requirement is shorter (48 inches), and it’s more than twice as tall as this and has 2 inversions lol
@@Howlingburd19 I know. I already have a few dozen rides on Iron Gwazi and 2 rides on Ice Breaker. Ice Breaker was fun, but after 2 rides I didnt feel like I needed to ride again. Iron Gwazi though...Got in as many rides as I could for the VIP event and am going to go back maybe next week while they are still doing previews and get in some more laps. It is AWESOME!
@@Howlingburd19 They said that they were having operation issues with smaller riders( whatever that means). They really should work the manufacturer to make it like a 42' inch height requirement. It doesn't look that intense.
@@Howlingburd19 It's because of the comfort collars. They're uncomfortable for shorter people. Recently, they got rid of the comfort collars and lowered the height requirement back down to 48 inches.
This looks like a literal icebreaker for rollercoasters, nice.
Man, thusies are just too damn snobby. This was a really fun ride. Good ejector airtime and that top hat is awesome. Not every coaster has to be a record breaker.
It’s name befits it, an icebreaker, this would be good coaster to start with.
Ikr. It’s like every coaster that isn’t Steel Vengeance sucks.
@@dibble1331 gotta love those hardcore CP fans. Don’t get me wrong, I love CP and they have some great coasters. There are better and more unique coasters out there.
@@woodencoasterfan you love what now 🧐
@@woodencoasterfan I would very highly recommend spelling that abbreviation out.
Well thats an fun childs ride. Its greate to see the Young guests at parks starting to get some note worthy attractions.
Oh boy, do I have news for you... This ride has a 54" height requirement.
I’ve heard it’s only temporary
@@MondoCoasters everything at sea world is 54 inches
@@jamesmonroe1441 I think they changed it i looked up the minimum height and it said 4 ft which is like 48 inches
@@jamesmonroe1441this is not accurate. It’s 48” not 54”
I like the different take on the launch for this coaster.
It's not that unique. Pantheon, Steel Taipan, Toutatis, etc. All do the same thing.
@@me-myself-i787for Floridians there’s not many coasters in the area so it’s a nice change
@@me-myself-i787not many like this*
This is a really good coaster filled with some good airtime moments. I’m amazed at how they were able to fit it in.
Man what a fantastic ride. This one was my intro to large coasters and boy does this thing have a deceptive amount of force to it. It really doesn't look like it from the outside, and kinda just looks like a borderline family coaster. Next thing you know, you're powering through the layout and are out of your seat for like 70% of it. Awesome ride and a great intro to large attractions. Super glad it's not a Skyrocket II.
this looks like a really fun not-super-intense ride.
On the second reverse for this ride when I started to go forward again it gave me a feeling of needing to pee. It was very intense
Lmfao. The airtime is the most I’ve ever felt on a coaster.
@silvertheprotogen5845 pipeline is a problematic coaster.
😮
@@moto6657 it always feels like that before you get on a rollercoaster or drop you just have to get used to it
i passed out on this ride, not because it was scary it really was fun but because it was my first ever big roller coaster and my heart rate reached 163 before getting on 🤣. it’s a lot of fun, if you’re scared don’t be just give it a try
Omg same , I literally passed out and when the ride was done , everyone was looking at me then I realised I was the one screaming the most
lol it was ur first big roller coaster too
Lol I went in this yesterday like 5 times and I loved it ❤
i did and i basically cried
I did it just earlier like twice. Definitely a lot of nervousness at first but on second try, not too bad, although, that weightlessness in the front seat is no joke
"it's giving hagrid's motorbite adventure"
Finally, a coaster I can go on without feeling scared! YES!
I'm going to tampa and orlando
@@MatRodriguezPianist And why are you bringing this up?
@@MatRodriguezPianist same im going to seaworld on july 23rd, i think busch gardens beats them in rides intense rides
@@MatRodriguezPianistYOOOOO TOLIET GANGGGG POGGG
That first climb and left turn after the propulsions is no slouch. Good ride
Perfect POV! Love seeing the other train do its thing too.
Nice take on a mid-tier not quite family, not quite thrill coaster, something SWO has needed for a long time now. I've noticed more and more parks are starting to add more intense and interesting family coasters which is a great thing in my book. Variety is the spice of life and not everyone wants to go 80 mph and have their spines compressed by 12 consecutive loops (besides us coaster freaks that is).
ME AND MY KIDS LOVE RIDING THIS COASTER THEY ARE 8 AND 10 AND THIS IS THEIR FIRST REAL COASTER RIDE
Uhm I think you forgot to stop using capital letters
@@AngelRincon-su9vi NOPE
Rode icebreaker for the 1st time yesterday. Loved it.
Looked so smooth. Especially the final brakes. Hope to ride some day!
Worked at Seaworld last year after this ride opened. I was hired specifically to be a ride operator for this ride. I told the people at Human Resources that I never worked rides before and they assured me that everything would be fine and that I would get training. I got training for two days, and the first half of the third day I was told I couldn't work there cause I never worked rides before (?). But, overall, great ride, rode it once when I worked there.
Well that’s strange
Yes, ride looks good, but like. . . Can we talk about those operations? Rollin’ trains like nobody’s business 😂 Amazing to see, hope it’s still that way when I eventually get to visit
A train every 85 seconds as in this video means an hourly capacity of 760 persons max. Lets hope this ride doesn't get popular with that low throughput.
@@svenlakemeier Fortunately, they have Mako, Manta and Kraken to compensate.
I rode it, it's actually really good kinda in the middle ride, it's not that intense but in the back it can be, since you go up decently high, and the launches are pretty fun, after that it's pretty basic though. Overall good ride.
I am a little kid and I went on this today my first big coaster and it was pretty awesome felt nauseas for a bit, next time I will go on pipeline or manta some ride like that.
Honestly this was a great experience for me. I was a bit confused at the turn that looks like an inversion. I was gonna ask is it an inversion?.
No
there aren't any inversions
Reading the comments here. Yes, it’s weird. Yes, it isn’t Mako. Yes, it looks fun (I haven’t been on it yet). Yes, you may still ride Mako if you want something intense.
Mako is my favorite ride always!! But this little one has something special too. The only thing I think they can improve eventually , are the seats and seat belts, to tight and not so confortable. Specially at the moment to get in/out
They fixed it
I love this ride
I'm a short and skinny guy and do understand this is supposed to a more "family friendly" coaster but even I found getting in an out of the seat was a bit tight. I imagine a person over 6ft tall or overweight would have a difficult time getting on. While not on this ride, on Mako I did see a considerably overweight teen in my row couldn't get the lap bar down enough to lock so he gave up and walked off. I felt a bit bad for him but better safe than sorry.
I went on it two days ago and passed out lmao. Other than that INSANE ride 8/10!!
i went on this in orlando i went on it 5 times on god it was fun as hell😂❤❤❤❤❤
Great 5K POV
Worlds tallest height requirement for a family coaster
0:53 TELL ME IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HEARD THAT
What did she say
Really fun ride, but the restraints were frustrating
Dig it. 👌
I rode this at a Halloween event in 2022, I'm now scared of coasters lol
We need a new intense coaster
Literally a replica of pantheon 😅
I went on this ride yesterdy
Its simple and it doesnt look intense at all.
But it does look fun
It’s a family coaster, it’s not supposed to be intense
@@otterofglory8140 I know
i would absolutely destroy this ride. i love rollercoasters but i have vertigo so i can’t go upside down. this looks absolutely amazing.
I don't know if anyone else did but I got stapled so hard I couldn't move my legs.
Yes
Yea I died on this ride
That looks like a nice family-thrill coaster... one which has a 54" height requirement... what...?
It should have a 48" height requirement but they increased it due to having operational issues. They will likely lower the requirements again later on.
@@JoshuaHere Do you have any details on what these operational issues entail?
@@MondoCoasters I've heard the comfort collars were uncomfortable for shorter riders. They recently replaced the comfort collars with ordinary seatbelts and lowered the height requirement.
It has a 48 inch height requirement now. My 6 year old rode it last week.
now it has a 48 inch height requirement.
It's just missing something for me. Maybe it could be longer. Idk not trashing it though
go on kraken or something then
Alright for those that are scared of loops ect ect 👍
1.43 if that was roller-coaster world game it would defo go ring ring lol nausea punters 😂

Fun roller coaster but I make the same comment every time super super uncomfortable, and that's saying something after all the coasters I've ridden in the last 14 days
Blippis ride
Cmon
GET READY TO BREAK THE ICE🧊🥶
does not seem like much of a family coaster tbh
how so?
United States 🇺🇲
THIS WAS THE SCARIEST SHIT EVER I SAID EVERY CURSE WORD IN THE BOOK THAT DAY
Eh. It's a notch below slinky dog. Nice little pops, but compared to what I heard it's not much.
Actually the little hill right before the tophat gives really good ejector
Well I don’t think this is supposed to be a “landmark” ride, just a ride that can appeal to a larger audience, it can appeal to thrill seekers, and those who are not quite there yet, you know?
Below Slinky Dog Dash?! Maybe for theming, but as a ride, not even remotely possible.
Overrated, tbh. It's okayish but nothing compared to Iron Gwazi.
You are comparing a family thrill ride to iron gwazi?
Considering the other ejector family ride is on other continent, then yes. This is worth for hype.
That is the dumbest comparison I have ever seen. A mid tier family ride, compared to an RMC thrill masterpiece.
@@patkmulderig Sorry, are opinions not allowed here? You think I don't know that it's a family ride?
@@user-yr3uj6go8iClearly not, considering you think the two are reasonably comparable. "Yeah, I like that Schwarzkopf, but it's no I-305."
