With its generous porches, this house is designed for indoor-outdoor living, and it checks all but one of my boxes. I would have my builder use a bit of porch space to give the front entry a small foyer where you could hang coats and remove footwear. There is already a space for HVAC and hot water systems or for a storage closet, and I love the large pantry and laundry room. The only other changes would be minor, like installing a gas fireplace or woodburning stove insert in the fireplace.
@@carltonhopkins7302 Very few of these plans include a basement even though in northern US many houses have them. Some have included garages. A swimming pool would be part of the site plan, not the house plan.
I like your ideas except for the fireplace. I just don't care for them much. I live in the South, so a fireplace isn't necessary. We get cold temps, but not long enough to need a fireplace. Personally, I'd put in an additional nice, big slipper bathtub in the master bath instead of having just a shower. That's a big pet peeve of mine.
@@melaniefogarty858 Actually, I would never have a fireplace in my house, but the plans posted here almost always include them. An open wood-burning fireplace is a poor source of heat - most of the heat in the house will go right up the flue. Woodstoves and gas fireplaces control the amount of air and are more efficient.
@Bobrogers99 I don't like or want those either. Of those two options, a wood-burning stove would be preferred because if the electricity goes out during cold months, at least one could cook using it, so it would serve double duty.
This one is nice. We are empty nesters and I would turn the kids room into a guest room and make the desk area into a bathroom. No door to porch there.
You are amazing. Just about the time I think you've captured my dream house you come up with a new one. Just a dream for now though. Love how the rooms all have additional exits. Deck is amazing. I could live there. Also love the blend of farmhouse and slightly modern. Color theme used throughout the home is warm and rich. Wonderful.
With the large porch area and the high beam ceilings, this house is so cozy and warm. I'd paint the walls a different color than green, but that’s no biggie. Great design ❤❤❤❤
Love this plan!!!! Ticks all the boxes for me personally, and, with just some minor custom tweaks, it's absolutely ideal. I could easily live in this home. Nicely done!!!😍🥰🤩
I noticed that the door leading into the house from the garage has a place for those things but I agree that you also need something from the front door.
Lovely house. Beautiful outside. But it needs a foyer. Take some of the outside deck for the foyer, with closets for coats. Put a new double front door at the end of the foyer. Put the kitchen where the dining room currently is. Having a living room and kitchen together like it is currently is too reminiscent of an apartment. Not to mention cooking smells. Close off the kids outside door and capture the outside space for the Master. This allows for a sitting area in the Master and enough room to put a tub in the Master bath and more master closets. Put a door from the kids bedroom into the adjacent bath. With two doors into that bath, this allows you to use it as the guest bath or (mostly) make that bedroom into an en suite.
I would flip the kitchen location with the living room, and put the door to the pantry agains the green wall. I would also make the front door open at the corner where the window is in the dinning room. But otherwise love this
Great use of 1500 sq fly if living space. Love the open concept as well as a pantry and laundry room outdoor living space is wonderful! With the high roof, I’m wondering if a loft could be put in during a build for 2 twin beds and a half bath? Master suite is good. I would want a soaking tub in the bathroom for showering too. Master is too small for it.😢 Garage 1 or 2 car? I think the guest room is large enough for 2 double beds or a queen and bunk bed. Am I correct? Still want a loft with stairs in the living room.
I don't understand the purpose of the small room located between the pantry and the master bedroom. What is it for? It doesn't even seem to have a door...🤔
@@avnstudio93 Without a door?😄 How do you get in there? I'm not being picky, I just want to understand. Probably, a blind window was painted instead of a door by mistake? Okay, thanks for the explanation.
The front door is suppost to be large and welcoming not small and stupid like the space between the sofa and the stools for the kitche island. The person that design it ever lived in a house with people?
⁰What a beautiful looking home. I absolutely love all the porch areas! The one thing that I don't like is the spare bedroom, which is larger then the master bedroom, and it even has two storage closets area on each slide of room for clothing storage unlike the actual master bedroom. Speaking of the master bedroom, it seemed a lot smaller, and it only had a shower and no separate soaking tub! Also, why is it that designers always design such small closets in the master? Don't they relieve that a couple needs plenty of closet space to store clothes, coasts, jackets, boots, or anything bulky like winter entire! Also, for me and my husband, we would add a third bedroom, making it our master bedroom with an on-suite bathroom with a soaking tub and separate shower. The larger bedroom pictured in this video would make a nice office with those beautiful cabinets that are placed on both sides of the room! The actual master in this video would make for a nice guest bedroom with its own bathroom for them to have their own private use during their stay! Also, a third bedroom adds more resale value! Also, there are plenty additional storage closets for comforters and blankets and bed linen. Still a beautiful home! I do love the full length drain in the shower. Still, the designer knocked it out of the ball park with the outside design of this home and those porches!
I saw the outside and said wow. The inside did not wow. What is with having front doors opening directly into the living room. Houses like these usually get built in the countryside or mountains which means winter time. Where are your guest supposed to hang all their winter gear and put their boots? You going to have them come in through the garage? I don’t think so. Needs one more bedroom, a bath in one of the bathrooms for small children and no doors leading from children’s rooms to the outdoors. You’re just asking for trouble with that.

The laundry room and butlers pantry sold me on this house!

А что это за маленькое помещение между кладовкой и хозяйской спальней? По-моему, там даже двери нет. Есть соображения?
In what seems like a childrens' room, for safety concerns, I would not want a door with outside access.
Because it's a children's room, I wanted an escape route there.
And why do children need their own private proch?
Agreed ,maybe just a window but not doors safety for sure
Very nice😊
Yeahhh
Gorgeous
PERFECT!!!!!

Afternoon live in MI..How much?
The entry way could really use a revamp.

I love wraparound porches but that’s the extent of this house plan.

@@vladislavandreev7257 I don't understand...without a door? Actually...without any entrance...only a blind window appears

Lol, never have an outside door into a childs room, you are just asking for them to sneak out.

Needs a foyer

Well, I must say I agree. 😊
I think most of these plans are made with empty nesters in mind. Or a second home for people with older children or, again, empty nesters.
Why so much fence around? Too much confinement in a setting where you should enjoy open space. Who are your people that make so many mistakes??
Hedo
No children's bedroom should ever lead to the outside.
Too many windows for any bedroom.
