So if you connect to your WIFI in your home it will not use any of your Tracfone airtime mins? I still have the flip up style phone and want one like this. Can you browse the internet also without using any mins? Would love to know, thanks.

Go to "Settings" on the homepage. Click it and go to "WiFi". Click on the word "Wi Fi". You will see where yhou have the option to change the password provided by your ISP. You will not be able to see the password. This is your protection in case someone picks up your phone and is able to copy the password. If you want to change all the settings, go to security and click on backup and reset. You will have the option to reset the phone to the way it came from the factory.
How to add apps
some trackfhones use data cards mit be extra with air time card am nout sure i dont use wifi have note book with wifi hone ruther
this phone will only connect to B and G router. Will not for A and N routers.
Just spend 5 or $10 more and you can buy a cheap tracfone android phone, it depends on the sale.

how to turn off data on this phone?
Yhe LG305 is not a smart phone in that it is not android or IOS. There is no way to run off data in that it does not use data. The "Browser" function is started and stopped by the browser soft key. It is too easy for the phone to energize the browser function while in your pocket or hand bag. You have to keep and eye on it t make sure it did not energize. The time that is used from the browser is your minutes. I too had this problem. Unknown to me, all my airtime was exhausted while in my pocket. This phone is a basic quick messaging phone. Smart phones are available on Tracfone for $29.99 with enough "RAM" so you can load apps. Look for the little android emo-gee.
This phone is a piece of trash! the WiFi does not work on it says failed to connect on any router there been lots of issues with LG 305 & 306 series phone.
