As a former dirt racer I can relate to the struggle. Your willingness to share it with everyone is really refreshing and makes what has always been a relatable experience even more so. A great behind the curtain look for those that don’t know as well. Continued success. One life, go live your dream.

Entrepreneurs who can’t control their business I get you Chavis it’s an out of your comfort zone feeling.
Love following along the last 5 years. I’m in USMTS territory so selfishly I’d wish you would run it again. I also love the respect Chase has for the series and guys who run it bc most folks nationally don’t know the difficulty. I also love watching Chase grow up and mature since I have 3 boys the same age mom/dad you guys are doing a great job. Wish you lots success for 2025.

Love the insight into the decisions, I can’t wait to see what the future holds for y’all but keep pushing and I know everyone’s busting their butts for lil to no return but I promise it’s gonna get you somewhere at some point. Jason was just the first to call, many will follow soon. Just keep building the social media aspect as hard and boring as it is cause that’s what’s gonna get you sponsors and car owners! I hope to see you get you a gator in person in a few weeks. Good luck with the rest of the prep and safe travels to Florida, we’ll see you guys soon!

Racing's Old Adage, Boys: If you want to make a small fortune in racing, start with a large fortune.
Also, being in senior management most of my adult life and developing numerous strategic plans, I have to say this to you guys: "Always remember, bigger is bigger period. Bigger is not better."
I'll explain, if you don't address your problems and issues at your current level - as you grow it will seem that those problems disappear. But mark my words, those things will come back and guess what? They're going to be bigger too! That in a nut shell is the downfall of many businesses.
I congratulate you for your decisions in this video. It is a business and needs to be treated as one. Way to go folks! You're on your way . . . and on your terms. Great Job!

Good job guys, as much of a late model guy/fan i am i understand completely where you guys are coming from. As far as content and monetary values through RUclips im curious where you guys are leaning towards. If not banding together with HTF and branding your own platform for exclusive vlogs where else would your videos go? 🤔

In my 40 something years of racing ,I’ve seen racers come and go. With that being said nowadays if you don’t have sponsors who help foot the bill, you’re not going to make it. When you set your budget you have to not only look at what races you’re going to,hauler maintenance, trailer maintenance, entry fees,,pit passes . It’s not a cheap date. Go race where you have the best chance to break even, anything else is a bonus.good luck in 2025

I started watching dirt races in the 90s and the payouts today are not much different yet car and operation costs have increased exponentially. I don’t know how anyone turns a profit without a major sponsorship and those are few and far between.

RUclips used to pay its creators adequately. Used to, and then they progressively got more and more greedy. People don’t realize that most creators get the same revenue even when their viewership grows. However, without YT, you’d just be dependent on another investor with that persons foot in your throat. But still, RUclips is a massive resource that 99% of American racers never had and many still don’t have. There’s finite demographic of weekly viewers for this market and most of those viewers watch all the main channels. Joiners wouldn’t have nothing with out the platform. It propelled mediocrity, making them superstars and providing them with connections and financial resources that clearly drove credibility, assets, performance and business opportunities. It certainly out weighed talent. All because they were not necessarily the first with the idea, but first to have the balls to start uploading. Vlogging was well established and many racers thought we should do that with racing but didn’t. I understand that your not complaining but, Imagine the countless folks whom grind 10hours a day at 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM job plus Saturday mornings making less then 60k then work until 12:30 PM in the morning in the shop. No dealership prices, No product endorsements, no tire deals, very little sponsorship dollars, no merchandise sales, no Adsense revenue, no family business or family money, no chassis enforcements or car sponsors, still paying crew members and family pit passes, that’s 99% of the American racer. Business logic doesn’t coincide with this sport unless your a manufacturer or importer with very large margins. In today’s climate (been this way for many decades now) it’s nearly impossible to get a sponsor. Local businesses don’t understand the benefits and can’t afford to advertise. Most folks call for sponsorship and interested businesses think $500 sounds fair, not realizing that’s not even enough to maintain the ad for the season. You starting Vlogging fairly early had a great family dynamic and a young man dedicated and determined to grow his racing. But you also had a nice facility facility, equipment and other resources that help with creating content. You see it often where the young kid working alone out of a small shack starts uploading videos but just doesn’t get untreated viewers. This because a level of production quality so important and part of that is the set or back drop. Many people don’t realize how much work goes into making content. It is the second job however still not as difficult as the welder or machinist working 5am - 5PM and sinking in 60% of his wages to race for a $500 modified purse. Point is there is no business in this industry, in the 90’s you could load up on a flat trailer, live off hot dogs and grind away at a salary and profit. That was long before the cost of the sport outpaced regular inflation and the regular prize pool. Know traveling series have become a playground for wealthy. Rich guys whom own race cars and hire drivers. A sandbox for the redneck elite or those looking to skirt taxes. This has even become true for the modified’s Which was once the series regular joes could compete in with their own equipment. Now it’s rich kids whose daddy’s bought them a stacker trailer and a few cars completely assembled. Go through the pits and 99% of them are generational wealth, second generation owned family business or white collar folks, playing racer whom are purchasing speed and success. There’s no business, it’s just outrageous costs. Even the year the rocket house car won the Lucas oil championship with Huddy, they would have only about broke even according to Richards without large sponsorship investment. That’s not counting free rocket resources. Just the cost to operate and travel was allegedly over quarter million. There’s no business. You guys put a ton of family business advertising into the car. Imagine the kid working at BK for $18 spending 80% of his check or the other kid working the same job 10 miles away in the neighboring state for $7.25. Those folks are sacrificing and in a way they are investing more. I guess my point or the TLDR is that this sport is broken and there’s no such thing as a profitable businesses model without things like RUclips or other side hustle’s. If it’s not RUclips you’ll be beholden to another large benefactor with their foot on your neck or family capital. How many racers do you think would make their very first large purchase be a new roller or stacker trailer if they won the big lottery? Not a lambo or mansion on the beach, a stacker trailer. I’m guessing thousands.

This right here is going to be the downfall for Chase because you don’t put information like this out there. As I said in the comments on your gateway video, I called that before it happened due to the decisions that you all made.
I’m not sure if you all realize this or not but 99% of the drivers that drive for other teams whether it be supers or whatever are all in the same position. They don’t keep all of their winnings, it has to go back to the car. However, you guys seem ungrateful and want someone to pay for everything for chase, pet him keep all of the winnings so you all can make money so chase doesn’t have to work. That’s honestly what it sounds like based off of your video, there’s many of drivers that would love to get the opportunity that Jason provided to you but you both come on a podcast and say the bs that was said. I don’t mean any disrespect with my comment but I have always been one to speak the truth no matter what it is about. Lastly, I’ll give you an example of why this is going to push owners away from chase, you both admit that chase did not communicate with Jason about expenses but in turn you complained about how much money had to be spent for a generator and hauler maintenance that is no one’s fault but your own because that’s YOUR HAULER that should be maintained by the owners of it so how can you complain about only getting a percentage of the winnings that did not cover your maintenance bill.

Some guys just like Mods but I’d guess HTF would be a next step eventually for Chase. Also I’ve come to learn that folks in the South/SE think Mods are bottom dwelling support class cars, but at the USMTS/UMP level they are top of the ticket in the Midwest. Basically Supers without front fenders.
