ABAU DISTRICT HOSPITAL

Kupiano Station in the Abau District of the Central Province came alive on Friday marking an important milestone in the history of Health Service Delivery with the opening of Abau District Hospital the First District Hospital in the province.
Built at a cost 18 million Kina under the Government’s tax credit scheme, facilitated by the National Planning and the Central Provincial Health Authority.
The construction of the hospital was initially managed by Oil Search until the merger with Santos and was officially opened by Prime Minister James Marape.
