The bass line is quite nice although I don't like the sound design of it. Also the rythmical vocals works well. What I don't like is the dull kick drum and overall too much crunch sounds. Cheers!
I agree… it’s nothing like How Ed Rush And Optical used to be. This shlt is too dark and cold, too technical and off beat etc. I don’t like this kind of dnb, theres way way way better dnb. Even in Ed’s own back catalogue.
I have to say i like this better than their old stuff. Production value is super important to me. Just really more into Neurofunk and Crossbreed rather than classic DnB

BSE, Noisia, Calyx, Teebee, SPOR, Apex, Cause 4 Concern, Evol Intent, Ulterior Motive, Ivy Lab, Alix Perez even Pendulum... they all have soul, life, while this type of dnb since 2020 era is rather cold and calculated and emotionless with zero organic feelings whatsoever. I know its down to taste but that kind of dnb is soulesss. PS also adding Optical in that list of Fave artist of Neuro/techstep etc, as he basically paved the way for Neurofunk along with Matrix and others. Crossbread stuff like Evol Intent Pendulum, SPOR ? these come to mind, as the name suggests it's dnb but with other elements and parallels from other genres (such as metal)? Eitherway there's so much better directions DnB can go, than the current meta...
