    I've been playing trumpet for five years now and had gotten curious on the difference between beat and rhythm while listening to a song and EVERYTHING my teachers have been trying to teach me since secondary school that i would never understand was all explained perfectly in parts 3 and 4. woow.. im seriously going so send this to my old teachers and tell them to play this video for the new kids who are trying to learn. seriously. Five years of music playing summed up in fifteen minutes. thank you so much

    The first video that actually teaches this effectively and completely, only thing i can recommend is showing the formula for translating beat and rhythm into units of seconds,
    Seconds per measure = Beats per measure * 60/BPM

    Great Video. Is there any way to name the rhythm of a song. E.G the song Cecilia by Simon & Garfunkel might be a Rumba. Or La Isla Bonita by Madonna might be a Fusion or Mas Que Nada by Brazil '66 might be a Bossa Nova. Nowhere can I find, for instance the rhythm style for ABBA's Waterloo. Thank you.

    What practices or how do you get faster and better and precise at drumming

    • @joshuawitrado
      @joshuawitrado  Год назад

      If I were to keep it super simple, grab a metronome, start slow with a lot of control over your hands, then work your way up gradually to play faster and faster. If you start to lose control of the hands with faster playing, then slow it back down and work your way back up again. Hope this helps!
