I own these and about 40 other pairs of headphones (most are much more expensive than these) yet I use these most of the time when I'm going to class or walking around in general. They're pretty great for what they are.
Last week I bought 3 headphones based on your reviews. AKG K361, HD58x, Status Audio Cb-1. And spent a few days deciding which one is better to keep. I didn't come to a conclusion, each headphone sounded better on some songs (With HD58x being the safest one that sounded decent on most songs), but I think I ll keep AKG K361, based on price, looks, comfort and closed back nature. Then I realize if I watch every video you upload all the good these products are going to be in the back of my mind and eventually I will end up buying them without actually needing them. That s why I unsubscribed today. Thanks for the past 4 years and I am sure I will come back at some point, but not for at least a year or two.
Bought them on the strength of this review. Have a 2.1 setup in another room, and just wanted headphones to listen to music while lying on the bed. Was thinking about the Hifiman HE400i or the dt880, but those likely would need a DAC/amp, and so the comparison is roughly $400 with electronics all over the side table versus $80 and nothing plugged in electrical sockets for a low-key hour or so of play. No contest. They deliver good sound out of a Chromebook or an Android phone. Plus, they work nicely on the stereo amp when watching a film late at night. Very happy with them.
Z, glad you finally reviewed these! Don't forget to give them to P! Cheaper, better monitors than (stock) M40X IMO! If you get a modmic for these, you can fish the modmic wire through the coiled section of the cable...
Yay confirmation. I've been using these for about a year at work. Perfect sound profile (very relaxed, bass is definately there but not boomy or muffled), perfect earcup size, discrete looking (but they are indeed on ear). Cable is meh, but not too annoying. Good passive isolation. I do love these.
i own these and i absolutely love them, they do come with a carrying bag though, i love the sound, the build quality, everything. the only thing i dont like very much is the fact that the earpads are small, if they were a little bit bigger they would be perfect, i agree with you, people dont give a fuck about them because they are like 60 bucks right now (originally when they came out they were 100$) and the fact that they are small, they deserve way more recognition.
I have been using them for 4 months. These sound pretty good, easily drivable. Love the build. As you mentioned, Beyerdynamic should have made this foldable. What's your pick between Dt240 pro and AKG K361 ?
Love them, a lot, but im quite a big guy and my problem is that my ears are turning into small pieces of ham, it hurts after like 2 hours. but hey, i still love them and a good budget too (i've been using these for so long now that my ears could stop a knife, they are fully invincible now, i feel no pain)
Hey Zeos, are you aware that Audio Technica released the MSR7b? A balanced version of the MSR7 with a slightly tweaked driver and improved comfort and would fill the sub 300 closed back range quite nicely if they're any good.
These are good. I thought they where too dark at first, but they actually have better sound than most other hp I've tried. Really coherent and no graininess.
You know... Chai means tea so when you say chai tea, you're basically saying tea tea. The word chai is from India and the word originated from China - "cha" (Oolong cha, Luan cha, Longjing chat) which is also used in Japan (green tea = Mat"cha", sen"cha", genmai"cha" )... Another thing I hear Americans say that makes me chuckle is when they say Naan bread = bread bread.
Starting to feel like an odd man out here, but...I really like Beyerdynamics. These looked tempting. I can't do a full on ear though. I just can't. That and the m40x kinda fill these things' role already for me. Although...would Brainwavz Rounds fit on these?
I got a pair last year, after spending days in different audio shops listening to everything. Good for travelling, value for money, sweet sounding, not bass enhanced, isolation is good. Convert to bluetooth with a Hiby W3. Only negative is if you are out in the wind......the gap above the cup to the headset band. A new carry case $4 on ebay!
I bought these a year ago because the recommendation of an Argentine, they cost me 80 dollars and well, my little ears loved them along with the fiio btr3

Well I was really thinking on getting the dt770's because I need an extra pair for recording, but I decided to get a better interface and midi controller so of all the budget I have to spent was reduced and my two options were: I can get the nice headphones and the nice interface but no controller or get the controller and interface but less quality headphones (I am a music producer / audio engineer I want a second pair to monitor and record my artists) so I was thinking about the Sony's MDR7506 for saving that part of the budget but if these are good enough to my singers use them while they're doing vocal takes, I'm fine getting those, thank you Zeos, I love your reviews and I'm actually part of that little 3% who watch them till the end lmao.
Man! When I heard your comments around 10m0s I thought: YES! I'm not the only one! When I listened to them I thought to myself : "if they were proper over ear I would easily pay 3x the price for this sound!"

Thanks for the review. I recently bought a pair of DT240 and I immediately returned ATH M40X, and today I happened to watch this review! Sounds really good, does feel uncomfortable just after a few minutes though. A great alternative to DT770 PRO for travel (and for the producer/film maker/podcaster, as Beyerdynamic said it is made for).
I'm in a dilemma between the DT240's and the M40x and don't know which to choose. I need them mostly for video editing and for occasional music listening. And they're both almost the same price right now in the EU at 70$.
@@hansschutz398 I would go for DT240. ATH M40X is a great headphones though, much preferable to Sony MDR-7506, ESPECIALLY if you're gonna be using for casual music listening. Imo, if DT240 had a comfortable set of over-ear cans it could sell for hundreds of dollars.

It doesn't 🌚. I'm from a country where chai is an essential part of our life.. Everyday... Multiple times a day. Chai can be with/without milk.
Chai latte uses milk. Chai tea does not require it.
@@RandallWanamaker 🌚😂 idk about this but we don't have a "chai latte" term in our country. I live in an arabian country where chai and arabic coffee is an essential thing in our life. This is across all the golf countries. If you want chai, you have do decide if you want a red chai, milk chai, karak chai (which is an indian way of making chai with milk), kushari chai, green chai (very rare).
But essentially, chai is the main term. You can't say that milk chai is not a chai 😂
There are other chai types than what I said. But the best in my opinion is the karak chai if you can find a good restaurant that do it right. 😊
