Thanks for the review of the folding primer tray. I've been away from reloading for a while and didn't even know this was available.

Thanks for the review - I was looking into the same folding tray. Maybe I will just keep mine for the time being.

I have a Lee LoadMaster, and I use to have the Pro 1000. Only problem I ever had with primers, is the Pro 1000 didnt shake them. But your first spring fix solved that problem. And I never had a problem putting the primers in the tray. Just flip the box over and open the primers into the tray one row at a time. And I added your gate, and the tray is fine.

Nice idea, but I think I like the round ones better, hope mine last a while longer. As for dumping primers into the round tray, simply turn the pack upside down and position the tray under it and slowly pull the package sleeve off dropping 10 at a time. Not as easy as the new tray, but it works pretty well.

A month ago I got 2 packs total of 4. Thought it was a great idea. First time using on my loadmaster when folded and in use the lid bulges up allowing the primers to flip over. I called Lee and they sent me out 4 new ones but they look the same as what my original ones were like. Have'nt tried new tray just watch for flipped primers when using new trays.

Interesting change. With the old tray I would just remove the entire priming assembly from the press and load up the tray, so it didn't need a gate on the chute.
I do find that the new primer consistently delivers the primers upside-down into the priming cup. And the entire arm including the shell-holder has to be removed to reset the primer.
Not sure this was an improvement by any means...

It might work ok. If you could find primers to buy

Where you find the black rail part that attaches to the triangular feeder?

Got my new Lee "Triangle" tray today. First off, why the fold-over, when fully opened it was able to hold plenty of primers. The latch idea blocks them from pouring out on the way to the press, but also blocks them from feeding down, even when fully closed & locked. There is a blocking issue due to the latch being in the dead center of the feeding area. After a few runs this new one failed worse than the circular tray. WTF??? Yet another Lee TOTAL FAIL. Hello Hornady?
