Correction gargantos is a pre existing character and not shuma gorath.

Except it was clearly modelled after Shuma Gorath, aesthetically. Gargantos appeared in 1 issue and was an actual sea dwelling octopus monster. The creature that appeared in MoM was definitely based off Shuma Gorath.
