Can somebody help? I'm confused. People say there's dixit, and 5 expansions. So Dixit, Dixit 2 (Quest), Dixit 3 (Odyssey) Dixit 4? (Journy), Dixit 5 (origins) and 6 "daydream" My question is, is journey supposed to be an expansion or is there duplicate of another set? Because that is 6 expansions not 5.
I like the artwork, but I find that the style of Dixit 1 and Dixit 2 is much more evocative, vague and fitting much more for the game. Moreover, the artwork difference really bothers me and I don't think I will ever buy the new expansions. Really, I'd hate to mix the old and the new cards. I really hope that, sooner or later, they will publish a new expansion with the old illustrator.
I suspect the plastic pieces are there to keep the cost down and I'm glad because, I suspect, I will buy this just to throw the cards in with my other 253+ cards.
Has there ever been a game that changed their scoring board so many times? Plastic pieces were really disappointing. I will use the rabbits, but I am already paying for the pieces so why not give something creative. The cards are much less vague, which I find better looking but with less possibility.
I believe it is pronounced "dee-seet" - double meaning between "deceit" and "dis it" which is French-glish for "say it", as this is a French Canadian game.
You're a pretty cool dad for including your kids in this. Well done.
Dixit is a French (not Canadian) game, and is Latin for "he/she said".

I believe there are expansion packs.
no rabbits?
Ooh good news, just found out (from BGG) that, in Europe, this will be sold as "Dixit 3" and is not a standalone game!

Can you buy the new cards separately???

I use my Spy vs. Spy figure as a scoring token ( Black Spy For The Win!!!)

With every big box release the meeples and wording becomes less creative and more mechanical. "Active player" lol how dry.
