Never good to hit any animals Tom, but you're a legend for looking out for them and humanely treating them. You'll never be swooped again after helping that Maggie out. And how random getting tyre advice from Eric Bana.
Great vid. Good on ya for trying you're best with the critters. +1 for hammock setup. Nights like that and or rain are perfect for it. Hide away from the rain cause you're in a little caccoon, comfortable for sitting in and having a work area under the tarp. Except last time I was in one we had a cougar get close😐
@ 23:52 “any kangaroo that comes near me is DEAD” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 that was good considering your luck with animals that day. About the bike….i had a truck that had two tanks and it gave me the opinion of drawing off either tank, but not transferring the fuel. Surprised these bikes don’t have a simple switch to just choose a tank. I enjoyed the video mate, cheers !
@@RidingWithTom good to hear you’ve been travelling!! Man, the kid sure keeps us busy so much so that I have sold my motorcycle and bought a second car (and child seat). Gonna be a boring dad for a while but one day I’ll be back on two wheels
The fact that you have an “Injured wildlife” number that you can call is Australia where a guy comes out with a .22 and puts the animal down for you is wild to me. I live in Texas and if we called for wildlife hit by cars their phone would explode. It’s a sad situation but it’s just a daily occurrence with Armadillo, Skunk, Snakes, Deer, pigs ect ect. I’m much more worried about hitting wildlife and crushing. That little kangaroo could have made you wiped out. Good riding.
@@wobblysauce was just gonna say this, Ive had to put down deer and hogs before. The deer was hard, but his legs were pretty much gone and he was disemboweled.
Out riding last weekend and watched a roo hopping along side the road then into the car infront of me, did a number on their bumper and smashed their headlight gotta be real careful.
Drove from Dunkeld to Halls Gap one evening and a kangaroo for every kilometer. Ended up driving at about 40-50 kmh. Was too dangerous for them and us otherwise.
Shame about the kangaroo, if you'd have been riding at the same speed seconds before you hit it as you decided to ride after you hit it, you probably wouldn't have collided with it. 😢
Tom is the kindest man to animals i've ever seen its lovely.
Bike is good and and birds are saved by Tom. Love this guy
@@haffibesti3300 They put the bird down...
Didn’t realise how much I’ve missed riding with Tom videos 👌

Toms compassion is to be lauded.
Have been watching your videos since s1000rr times, what a journey, and what a good rider you are!
I love following along. These journeys are my favorite! Feels like I'm right with you!
The whole situation with the Joey really reminds me of that Robot Chicken‘s “Gary the stormtrooper runs over an Ewok” scene.
You're good man Tom! I couldn't leave an animal suffer like that either.
Great vid. Good on ya for trying you're best with the critters.

Thank you for having such an amazing heart for amimals. I would have done the exact same thing. Im the softest for animals
19:20 for the accident!
holy shit ive not seen this channel in like years im getting old
Keen to see what you do with the bike. Wondering what luggage options will fit with the rear fuel tanks.
In Georgia US we have deer and other small critters to dodge, but I cant imagine Emus and Kangaroos!
That steak looked yummo mate 😋
Have to take along wilson next time, for when the fire goes out.
Nice work with the Maggie and Skippy.❤.Is your frying pan portable etc.Where you get that.
this tires are ok for what it is and big ty for geting that bird to vet
Rally STRs are utter dogshiet, I would love to know how much of a discount Pirelli are giving out to get them on new bikes.
@@HRRRRRDRRRRR i use them on my t7 they where or for 7 k miles for me bdr style raiding
Jeeze, bad luck with the wildlife.
I love you man your got a good heart
How are you doing, man? I haven't seen you for a while! great to see a vid from you! this one was great! cheers
Hey Fabio! me and the wifey be travelling a lot, lap of Australia then lap of Europe this year so its been busy, hope your kiddie is keeping you busy!

Great ride love your videos. What brand dry bag is that.
I'm pretty sure the monsters SP has a Termi pipe, same engine!
That recorded on the new DJI Action 4?
careful of Dingo's Tom, I heard they like back packs mate 😂

Most in the US would put them down themselves.

@@wobblysauce I mean MOST people in the US hit an animal and just keep going. The people in the south will finish off a big animal like a deer
@@IRLtrolls Also real fresh meat for some.
proper gent
Tough day of riding
Looks like it was a great ride. What gear bag is that on the back?
just a wolfman duffle bag I had lying around
I like the tubeless wheels. I wish all dirt bikes came with them because tubes suck for punctures.
Look at the rear tire and then talks about how much TC is kicking in.
Australia is one of the few that eat our cost of arms… they are so tastey.
Do you really fit the tinnys, camping gea, food and fire wood in one duffle bag?
Alice to Finke and back is approx 480 ks
You're a mad bastard Tom - but I love it!
It would have been nicer to the kangaroo, to just grab a branch and finished it off yourself. But luckily the kangaroo guy was a few mins away.
are you using hero 11 or action 4?
I get it Tom, I can't even kill bugs.
Out riding last weekend and watched a roo hopping along side the road then into the car infront of me, did a number on their bumper and smashed their headlight gotta be real careful.
Did you have any problems with your 790?
rear shock blew, that was it really
Yeh it sucks, don't know how many birds we've taken to vets/called fauna rescue etc 👍
Mate if its any consolation Kangaroos do seem to hop towards danger. They are the only animal that autonomous cars cannot avoid.
I'm pretty certain that magpie wouldn't have stopped for you.
ole swoopie boy wouldn't have for sure

EndingLifeWithTom would be a great channel name! 😅
2 steaks, my man.
Camera footage whilst riding looks super weird
Actually picked up his lunch

That's the thing you could be going 10 or 110 and they just jump out, just a numbers game.
More importantly... WHAT HAPPENED TO NERB?!?
Last vid is 4 months old.
Hope he is okay and just ran out of time to produce content!
I know right!?! I want to see the rest of our adventure from his pov
sleepville ahahaha
It was a Wallaby you hit not a kangaroo
kangaroos suck!
Tom strikes me as a bit of a cyclist, anyone else?
Have to change the name to Death cati
The image stability on that camera when riding was crap 💩
I try and make it as shaky as possible
bike will crap out
